Intense therapy start right away. Traumatic brain injury. We started with making him wiggle his toes and fingers and I talked to him all day while he lay there with a blank expression on his face. I think what I hate more than anything was trying to explain to him where he was at and why he couldn't move. That little fire under me and we were never late to therapy or took A-day off. They gave me so much information on the human brain I knew we had a long road ahead. His release date was based solely on progress. After a few milestones reached we received to date of December 5th. I'm only posting this because I never sat back and thought about it. Yesterday I dropped a few tears for this situation and for my Grandmother before her birthday day February 1st. To talk to me you it think I have it together like life is all blue skies and sunshine. I'm just used to the rain. A year ago today seen things in the Altman emergency room a parent should not see. I clearly remember walking in the hospital. They allowed me to go in every room but the one my son was in. Because of that panic set in. I let everyone standing in front of the door holding me back know that if you were not in a staff member I'm willing to give up the air I breath to see my son just incase. With my luck I was. The room was red. A dark red. On top of that a nurse was making him breathe. 4 or 5 was trying to keep his body warm. After all the commotion and chaos of that day I woke up to hear a machine doing everything my son could the day before for him. I was scared to pray. 2 weeks later in doctor told me they was gonna take him off some of the machines. I was blessed enough to watch my son take his 1st breath for the 2nd time.
