whoa.
Realized today during work, these people have no idea who I am.
They don't know the schools I've been to, the cities I lived in, how I've loved and been loved. and they never will if they never ask or if I never tell.
I could literally be anybody to them.
a rather radical thinking for myself at least, as I don't really know how to be..un-me. but imagine the possibilities if in every new workplace, city, etc, you created a new persona. Not necessarily one that was 'fake/pretend' but just the persona that you immersed yourself in at that period in your life.
Admittedly, this is much more difficult to achieve with everyone being constantly connected and photographed and reblogged etc. It takes effort to move to a new city and not know anyone these days. There's almost always a 'sighting' or a 'mutual friend' or some other unfortunate/fortunate relation.
Aren't I already doing this though? I make these comments to certain individuals while those comments to others. Unless you segregate yourself into one demographic, I feel most people have multiple sides to themselves that will rarely all be revealed to one person. Simply because there's less opportunity and reason to talk about 'x' to someone who usually talks about and is interested in 'y.' It's personal but with no ill will.
back to my co-workers though. They're all lovely and I'm glad to be here at this point in my life.
