What makes a good female character?

The following is just my opinions off the top of my head. Take it as such. The problem is people focus on the “female” and then enforce what *they* think females, or what I should say girls/women should be and act like, humans especially females (myself being one) are too complex to be put in one neat little box. I hate how so many standards are put on female characters because some loud mouth ideologues get offended by certain tropes. Enter feminism using pop culture to tell us what we should be and how to act and what we should do and want. This limits creativity for people writing females because they’ll get the feminist mob telling them the female is too this or that or not enough this or that. Feminists think they are the arbiters of female characters (they aren’t). They care about controlling pop culture and culture (because as one has admitted that politics is downstream), they don’t care about characters and storytelling, it is just a soapbox.

What makes (key word being ‘makes’) a good character (the other key word being ‘character’) should be the goal because then you are not alienating the audience that isn’t female. The character should be relatable for everyone or most people at the least, regardless of surface traits. It then isn’t centered around identity politics. Focus on their journey, their defeats and victories and how they dealt with them. Humanize them, not make them a token for a political point or mouthpiece for ideological propaganda. Characters are the surrogate to take the audience on a story. They are not and should not be used a political and ideological prop pieces and a token to represent a collective, as people are different, and women are different. What I like about a female character will differ from someone else. Feminists are now calling Leia Organa, Ellen Ripley and Sarah Conner “too vulnerable or too feminine”, they keep moving the goal posts and are never satisfied and I don’t take what they want females to be seriously because they care more about their ideology, not telling stories and writing good relatable characters. Female characters being vulnerable and feminine is not something to be attacked. Feminists think femininity is weakness (it is not, quite the opposite in fact) a being vulnerable is part of humanity and only serves to accentuate he moments when she is strong. It is like you can’t be brave without fear, and the ideologues create mary sues because they fail to remember that (and they self-insert their personal power fantasy aka project their ideal self onto characters). They ruin characters these days because they want to accept they are good and strong without showing how they got there in the first place, nor showing their working to achieve it they are just “wham” good at everything and are the smartest person in the room ‘just because’, that is boring, might as well make them a robot because that is the only way to make it plausible and yet there are AI/Cyborg/android female characters that are more human that most of these female characters in pop culture lately (good examples of female characters shown working to become capable and good at what they do are: the bride in Kill Bill Vol2 training, Buffy trained in episodes in BTVS, it didn’t just rely on her slayer powers she had to train and research on her foes, Hermione Granger was shown studying, she didn’t just know everything automatically. And those characters had flaws and vulnerabilities, it give them something to overcome, develop and makes the viewer.reader care/take interest in them). If they are given powers and portrayed as the most intelligent because just because they are female/or minority (*ahem feminism/sjw identity politics*) it makes them idealistic, not realistic, a token, not relatable. Think of superheroes and it is their vulnerability, their human weaknesses that we relate to, not their powers or their (in terms of Batman and Ironman) their status and wealth. I could go on but I hope I got the point across that if you want to create a great female(or male or any character whatever they are) character; make them human (works for aliens too, Chewbacca’s friendships and loyalty to Han Solo is another example).

I think the now genderswapping crap that hollywood is doing is because they have currently incompetent writers or execs from the studios or somebody interfering and can’t or fear writing women realistically because they’ll upset the ideologue critics and activists that have invaded “Journalism” so they opt for casting women in remakes/reboots in original male franchises (e.g Oceans8, Ghostbusters2016) and it doesn’t fit and it is forced and lazy. Had better written characters years ago when people had fun and took risks because it was about the story, not some political and ideological pandering or message as top priority.

The data proves it. Time and time again we see polling data showing that the Democrats have taken a far left turn in the past 10 years, so much so that movements like #WalkAway have started to emerge and regular people are shocked by what is being proposed.

Last night every candidate offered a healthcare plan for illegal immigrants and even went so far as to say we should not be charging people for crossing the border illegally. This is tantamount to open borders and mathematically impossible.

The Democrats have just said they would provide massive incentives and no penalty for people coming here illegally, a move that is sure to encourage more people to take a risky journey.

Trump tweeted that this move by Democrats sealed their fate, it will help him get reelected. But I think it will go further and this far left social justice pandering will help Republicans in general.

I like that he points out the MSM is lying by confusing US politics with Europe to give the deception that the righ has gone “far right” when the truth is the left has gone far left and other leftists have noticed too.

Do you believe a speech that isn’t specifically calling for violence can be labeled violence and therefore harmful to people? Is that possible? […] Here’s the thing; when you call somebody a “Nazi”, now you can make the argument that you’re inciting violence and here’s how as a country we all agree that Nazis are bad, we actually invaded an entire continent to defeat the Nazis. It’s been normal to say “hashtag punch a Nazi” because there’s this common thread among this in this country that they’re bad and that they’re evil and that they should be destroyed. So when you’re operating off of that premise and it’s frankly it’s a good premise to operate on. Well what you’re implying then is that it’s 'okay’ to use violence against them when you label them, one of the most powerful social media companies in the world labels people as “Nazis”. You can make the argument that’s inciting violence. What you’re doing is wholly irresponsible. […] Here’s what it comes down to; if we don’t share the values of free speech, I’m not sure where we go from here. You know this practice of silencing millions and millions of people, it will create wounds and divisions in this country that we can not heal from. This is extremely worrisome.

While appearing at a college campus, Charlie Kirk, founder of Turning Point USA, was confronted by a female at one of their information tables. The student was admonishing Kirk for not agreeing with her that he should be held accountable for failing to refer to someone by their chosen identity. Kirk, who frequently challenges liberal students on college campuses across America, over their liberal views, caught this female college student by surprise when he exposed her for parroting views she’s heard from others with no substance to back up her radical views. Kirk started by asking the female student how many genders there are? She responded by asking him, “Why should there be a number?” Kirk responded by explaining, “Because if you don’t have sociological numbers, then you delve into chaos.” The college student used Facebook as an example of using multiple genders to identify users. Kirk explained that in California if you misgender someone, you can go to prison. When he asked her if that was okay with her, she incredibly responded, “yes.” When Kirk explained to her that by suppressing another person’s speech, she was advocating fascism, she appears to be stunned by the reality of her words.
