oh my god, you guys. it's done. i actually finally Finished The Fucking Thing. This is by far the longest and most complex thing i've written to date, and that's not even taking into account the fact that it's only one movement in my first multi-movement work. it's not perfect, but damn. i'm proud of myself 😂
it does need a good edit, as do all the other movements in this quartet, but as i'm kind of burnt out on it again i don't know when i'll get around to doing that. i'd love to look it over with a teacher or in a workshop setting, actually, since there are things i'm not happy with that i don't know how to fix or sometimes even identify the problem....but idrk where or how to find something like that in my area, so. for now, please enjoy my over-eight-minute monster baby.

i've been working on this quartet for about a year and a half now, so i'm honestly very eager to switch gears to other things LOL. up next on my docket is a piano/vocals trio, which i already have the lyrics and melody for, so it might show up pretty soon~ after that i think i want to try my hand at a concert overture (my first symphonic work!! aaa!!), though that might take longer because i'm juust dipping my toes into writing for wind instruments.
