On the autism spectrum, though very high functioning and masks most of the time but is prone to being overwhelmed and needing a calm environment.

Grew up in Bridon but has ties to the cult Liu Xiao is in. They knew each other as children, but had a turbulent dynamic full of disagreements. Lu Guang sees him strictly in an antagonistic light, as Liu Xiao is a reflection of everything he hates about himself, too.

Would only eat soup as his sole meal if he was allowed. No one has let him convert his entire diet to only soup.

Didn’t care much about animals at all until Elizabeth came along. He always felt indifferent to keeping a pet.

Surprisingly doesn’t sunburn too badly when basking in it, but he also doesn’t fully tan either.

the photo studio is scarce with the technology they keep. a seeming liminal space, lost in a time far simpler than the hustle and bustle of the busy city. they’re fortunate to live in this quiet neighborhood. lu guang’s laptop is the furthest extent of technology in an otherwise analog home. they don’t have a television. there’s a landline phone they use to take calls for potential clients. which, most come from word of mouth based on local testimonies. their studio upholds a level of simple quiet found decades prior, often make-shifting movie nights and the likes. tonight, lu guang has his laptop to play the melodic reverb of christmas jazz. setting the atmosphere for the holiday season, which has become more important to him now than ever before. in his traversing through time, winter is the warmest season. without the brutality of the stain september has left in his exhausted heart.

in winter, he chooses to forget the pain of the past. in winter, he can lounge freely on the sofa without protest with the heater toasting the room just right. 'tis the season where he can enjoy the flavors of the fragrant soups cheng xiaoshi complains less about making this time of year. under the pale moonlight and snowfall outside, he listens fondly to the songs qiao ling hums under her breath when she comes to pay them a visit. all is how it should be. safe. familiar. calm. even little elizabeth comes to recline next to him, curled into a donut-shaped ball. the only addition to this evening to make it better is the intervention from his book he so often gets from cheng xiaoshi. it doesn't bother him tonight.

a fluffy red hat is slapped upon his head and a gingerbread plush shoved into his arms, followed by preposterous suggestions in the aimless boredom of his partner. lu guang sets his book down carefully on the coffee table. the gingerbread stays put. it’s oddly cute. “ no. that’s your specialty, ” plucking the red hat from his head, as it blocked his earmuffs and consequently his hearing, he sets it next to elizabeth sleeping at his side. small paws reaching to knead soft fabric, giving lu guang enough distraction for cheng xiaoshi to sit on his right side.

without a moment's reprieve, their faces meeting in close proximity. lu guang's heart begins to race at the suddenness of it all. was this... what he thought it was? was cheng xiaoshi finally going to let his actions speak what words couldn't between them? lu guang's eyes begin to close as he braces for their lips to meet.... for them to... to press cheeks. what...!? “ …! ” his paws hands work to pry him off. disappointment evident, but he isn't entirely surprised. it had not happened yet, and there were a myriad of reasons as to why. " that's... enough, cheng xiaoshi...! " grunting as he creates a hint of space, disregards the invitation for alcohol. he wouldn't decline. other matters were merely more important.
