Ok, so first, I come to find out that Textures (one of the best things to happen to Metal, in general) had disbanded yesterday. THEN, I find out Chris Cornell passes away unexpectedly and I felt chills tremble down my skin. I feel molded by the bands he fronted: Soundgarden. Temple of the Dog. Audioslave. His soft mid-range was chilling and moody before wailing into bluesy falsettos with nasality. An enigma. A presence. We must persist in their honor. We are the future of music. We must remember our heroes in this current state of musical hubris.
