So it's been a while since we did this... I don't know how long exactly cause I can't figure out how to find time stamps on posts.

so let's begin this post with directly post-college. so much has changed, and we have grown so much - personally, emotionally, intellectually, career-wise, and i'm sure physically too. we have shed off our college skins and are living in the "real world."

we were so scared of it at first but we've slowly started figuring out our paths, and (at least for me) i wouldn't have imagined that i would be where i am today.

we are no longer living in naivety and have learned to take things as they come and live on. i am really proud of us. we are really strong. the both of us have been through a lot within the past year, are still dealing with a lot, and will continue to deal with a lot. but at least we have each other right?!

right.

anyways, i made this post because i wanted to list the set of goals i have for myself, some including you, some not. i'm hoping by listing them, i will actually push myself to accomplish them, because right now i'm in this stagnant phase where i'm doing absolutely nothing. but i also think i deserve it, because i'm going through a bunch of changes, in terms of romantic relations (which, who knows where that area of my life will be heading in a year), and specifically for now, my job. i am so excited for this new path i'm taking! i hope it turns out to be exciting. i hated being unhappy and bored at my job.

anyways, yes:

- take my gre's (i really aim to do this sooner rather than later)

- learn a lot about big data

- us taking initiative and starting our startup

- not being so damn sensitive for negative feedback from authority figures

- forming new connections/networking

- getting an apartment together!!!

- living life and not letting anything hold us back - because it's our life. if you're not going to live it, who is?

sometimes i get to wondering if when i’m at college i really restrict everything with alcohol, and if alcohol and smoking is the boundary that i create, and that’s why i dont break down easily, or is it because i’m actually truly happy simply because i’m away. i hate being home.

also it's so weird that our phone convo before you left and what you wrote was so alike. we are in sinc even in the weirdest way. like for example, our dads making plans last minute. no, but really. weird.

first of all, i love my professor. every chance he gets he says he wishes the class was held in a bar who how we would love a six pack right now. oh or how one day we should all come to class drunk. or how he was really contemplating on skipping class and going to the bar near here. or how there's so few people in class today cause of the heat, so he should've just gotten beer for everyone. or how beer beer beer.

and he loves showing clips of the colbert report so basically i think that's my new fave hobby. i dont think my teacher fully understands how much i love him. he might be gay though. not completely sure.

i think the concept of asexuals is really weird by the way. i don't know. sometimes there are people born with enlarged clitorises and they've gotten operated on as babies, and they feel that they've been genetically mutated. and they would have wanted to stay the way they were. and they go through a gender identity problem, and eventually realize they're asexual or one of the genders. either way, im not too okay with these people complaining about it. and saying they shouldnt get genetically mutated. because honestly you don't know the side of the story where the kids who did get operations on their enlarged clits and don't know about it, and are living their daily lives. what about their side of the story?!! too bad we can't hear it cause they dont even know they went through it. but they're living normal non-gender identity conflicted lives. you're just conflicted cause you know, in my opinion. i don't know. i feel like the whole thing is biased. you never really know. what do you think?

i really hate it when i see a mom carrying her BABY on the train begging for money. like don't expose your child like that. you should be taken by social services. i dont know man, not okay with that.

my internship is kinda cool. recently, i've been calling up people and setting up interview dates. it's nice hearing them get excited that they might have a job opportunity. and sitting in on some interviews. otherwise, it's surrounded by nice people. except this one lady named debby who gets angry really easily and she doesnt know how to slow down i feel like. she gets offended mad easily. like nothing specifically by me, but with other people that she works with.

chilled with brenda on saturday. i forgot why we were friends in the first place, but it was fun overall. we told each other mad drunk/high stories and her stories are mad funny. lets just say we're both beligerent.

i'm going to be volunteering at queens hospital soon!! i dont know why this summer is crazy for me. i'm going to meet the lady on thursday. i'm gonna be working in the smoking cessation department. i think it's definitely going to be interesting. the lady sounded really nice on the phone. i'll let you know how it goes!

omg so TODAY, tuesday, i was working the front desk of my internship. and this kid was being mad funny, and he told me was going on to be a senior in college soon. i was like oh where do you go? he went to stony!!! what a small world right?! he lived in stimson all these years, and now he's moving off campus. his name was darnel or something like that. he said he went to campus this weekend for a party with his boi from tke. know any darnel or maybe it's darrel?? idk shit was crazy!

Long time no update. I dont know if you got the memo but this is so that I hear every aspect of your summer so I can pretend I'm with you. Okay i cant keep capitalizing its making my head hurt. ALSO I WROTE THIS AND SAVED IT AS A DRAFT LMFAO AND THEN YOU POSTED TODAY WTF?!!?!

SO heres what happened since the last time i wrote here: (its really really long, just dont read it if you dont want to, i just feel like i should write it lmao)

on the 24th, the thursday before memorial day weekend, me asha cathy and cathys neighbor lana went to the city to go bar hopping. i was supposed to help my mom pack when i came back (her flight was on the 27th, but we were going to PA for the weekend to be with family so she wouldnt be able to pack beforehand)

i was like yeah i'll be back by at least 12, dont wait up moms ill be able to help!  so ashas already in the city taking a final, i go to cathys house (when you called me) and played with her kitty. then  we met up with lana and took the train to the ferry to the train in manhattan to meet asha. nothing interesting, until we were sitting in the union square station waiting for asha and then we hear one of the train musicians singing some beautiful shoe-bop like 60s soul music, and we all start dancing and give him like 5 dollars and keep dancing cuz literally it was so beautiful. he dedicated songs to us lmfao it was so awesome idk i felt like one with his soul

then we went to this bar called keybar to get pregame drinks cuz its cheap there, 2 for 1 specials lmao. so i bought one drink and got my voucher. me and lana realized that we didnt eat all day so we were like ok the special ends at 10 lets get one drink real quick then go to Dunkin donuts and get bagels then go back before 10 and get our free drink! so we drank our first ones really quick (they also didnt id us) and then went to DD and i was already drunk and we got donuts and these black kids were there and one of them asked me if i loved dick and i was like no i love bagels then we went back to keybar got our 2nd drinks then made friends with some random people then we left for the next bar

we went to the next bar by cab, lana knew the bouncer so i was like okay, then the bouncer looked at everyones id and then looked at mine and was like fake and i was like WTF and he was like itll crease if i bend it so cathy was like bend it go for it and it snapped LMAO 

then we were walking to this nearby bar and this random lady comes up to us with vouchers for free drinks so we go to that place and get free drinks and make friends with this dancer lady but the bar was deserted so we left I USED MY REAL ID LMAO 

then we were walking to the place we intended to go to and we went in and asha showed her id, cathy showed hers, i got ashas id from her while the bouncer was right there, and then lana went lmaooo it was ridic!! we got pretty shwasted there and met mad sailors and its kinda hazy

then we were walking down the street and a random guy named romeo came up to us and was like hey come here ill get you guys to skip the line and get free drinks and we're like OKAY! and we folliow and the place was POPPIN like it was so awesome we werent id'ed i think, idk. then i blacked out.

lmao i woke up at home and OMG lol i feel like such an idiot, so we were supposed to go to PA at like 8 am on friday, apparently we got home at 5:30, i was throwing up on the ferry, my mom was awake when we got back, my cousin came to our house at like 8 to go to PA with us, and my dad kept coming in my room and actually screamed at me to wake up but i was still blackout (he didnt realize apparently...) idk but i dont even remember the ride to PA, i was hungover for like 2 days lmfaooo. all of friday i was nauseous (but still chilled with my cousins) and saturday everyone went for a hike while i stayed home and threw up...LMFAO idk man it was ridiculous all of my cousins were straight shitting on me. but idk how it blew over, i guess because it was a really busy weekend, and my mom was going to india on sunday, me being a retard got pushed to the back of everyones minds. plus everyone was just excited to see each other, i wasnt even punished!! <--- WTF RIGHT

i had an awesome time in PA post hangover, on saturday night i went for a walk to the nearby lake with a couple of cousins, one came down from minnesota and the last time i saw him was for my 16th birthday! idk it was awesome. then all of my older cousins played bartended and made us drink (i could only stomach one drink cuz i have officially become a pussy) and it was fun. later that night i went outside with my cousin yashu who i really want you to meet, he smoked like a pack of cigarettes (WHICH I JUST FOUND OUT HE DOES AND I YELLED AT HIM SAYING ITS NOT COOL LMAO AND YEAH ITS NOT LIKE I HAVENT BUT I CANT BELIEVE YOU LET IT BECOME A REAL HABIT) and we talked about life until like 5 in the morning, it was so awesome. i really want him to visit stony brook and stay in our suite and just meet us.

so sunday early morning we came back home, my mom was already packed so we were all running around getting ready, i was getting ready for rishis sisters wedding. i got picked up by my friend john, with nick this kid robbie and then gleb. we went to the liquor store in jersey and got some bottles, then went to the wedding. it was really different to see a bengali wedding but thats besides the point. anyways, john has had a crush on me for basically ever so he was being kind of creepy, but hes a really nice dude and really fun so i was like not gonna be mean cuz i also like attention and also hes just really nice and i know i'll never do anything ever with anyone from home. but we all got super wasted, and then i stopped drinking towards the end of the night. but the wedding was a lot of fun, i spent a majority of it with nick because hes absolutely hilarious. so after the wedding we went to the hotel it was in to rishis room and chilled and drank a little more, (the bottles we bought) rishi got drunk but he was a lot of fun, but gleb got really drunk and then he was kind of being super creepy to me but just being drunk and horny (according to rishi) but i was so weirded out lol it made things kind of weird for a couple of days, but its really because i was the only girl with all of us. then we came back home and that was that.

i went to stony last wednesday for work, it was boring. on the way back rajan got on the train with me and it was a lot of fun, we met up with julia and vlada (<- vlada for a little) it was really nice just catching up. i really miss everyone. i really want to see you terribly. lets make it happen next week.

the past weekend i finally went for work and i had to stay at my cousins house the whole weekend because my dad cant drive. it kind of sucked because the two boys they have can be a real handful. like i love them in doses but i hate constant crying!! WTF just eat your goddamn dinner. also my evil aunt lives there so it was just really high tension environment.

but thank god that weekends over. this week i went to the visa office with asha on monday and we got cupcakes and it was kind of fun. my dads doing a lot better, its surprisingly not too bad living with him and not my mom. he went back to work, so its not terrible. tomorrow hes not going to work though but me and asha have a lot of shit to do with the internship, so its cool. he got an award from work and a promotion, im really happy and proud of him. like i hate him sometimes, but i love him most of the time. idk i have a really good/bad relationship with him. idk. words wont do it justice i guess

tomorrow is my first driving lesson! it was supposed to be last week but i had to go to stony so it got cancelled. im really nervous and i hope it doesnt rain.

I had a root canal on Thursday which absolutely blowed I couldnt feel half of my face and it was so scary and i still can't properly chew and on the 30th I have to go in to get a real filling so right now i have concrete on my tooth and it's so weird

Friday was the first day of my internship

Background info:

The cousin whos husband gave me the internship is the coolest dude ever His wife (my cousin) is the daughter of my evil aunt (my dad's sister)  They all live in NJ, and that's where the internship is So basically every Thursday I'm going to be sleeping over their house and on Friday mornings I'll be working until Friday evening and then coming home (it's gonna suck cuz that aunt is here with her husband visiting from India) 

So. It's basically in this dudes house, its legit a startup company that they're building from nothing. It was weird, I was legit falling asleep its so boring but so interesting. I really don't know what they expect from me but they're all so passionate and excited about it. Idk. They just have me researching and learning this computer program.

It was fun though, and cool...definitely didn't expect to be chilling in a guys house I thought we'd be in an office

I played with his kid a lot though his kid was fun we threw rocks at these frogs in the pond in their backyard

Friday night my mom and asha picked me up from Jersey cuz she had this ladies night thing with all of her ladyfriends in my aunts house, lmao they're so gay. So one of my family friends went with her mom too (Harini, you might recognize her name from my previous brown people stories..idk though) and we went to her house where her sister was and bought a little thing of Bacardi and played Cheers to the Governor. It was mad fun, but I forgot im on antibiotics lmao so I've been suffering from diarrhea since that fateful night. (TMI? no such thing in december 4th)

I've basically been lazing around besides that. On Saturday my whole family woke up super early and all we did was garden, it was really nice. I'm so glad my moms still home. Then that evening we went to my family friends house, to my uncle who has cancers. We just chilled and talked for a while. I hate being there because it's so depressing, but they need the company. It was weird and uncomfortable and I hated it.

Sunday we gardened some more (a lot more) and watched a lot of basketball and Seabiscuit. Since my dad is home forever now WHICH IS GONNA SUCK WHEN MY MOMS GONE he ordered all of the good tv channels which is awesome

Today, my dad had surgery and my evil aunt her husband my cousin and her husband and their two kids came over it was fun-ish we ordered dominos and talked and played with children I started writing my paper.

I called my boss last week so I could work out what I'm going to do about work since I'm no longer taking classes and she said to pick a day and I could train one of the dudes doing research what to do so I'm going to go in next tuesday and do it. Anna's being mad annoying about it telling me what to do but its like bitch stfu i've been working there for a year now

Cathy's been trying to hang out but I've just been wanting to be home and chill with family because idk if you could see my dad lol its so weird seeing him so helpless he has this cast thing on and now he has to strap his hand to this foam cushion thing to keep it facing up to keep the circulation going idk lol so i keep saying no

Okay, so my summer pretty much just started, but I'm going to rewind back to Monday right after my final.

Oh, Friday, Saturday and Sunday I did absolutely nothing besides studying and watching tv shows, and tetris of course.

So, Monday, me and conor planned on eating after his final. I packed most of my shit after my final and did laundry and yeah. He got out of his final and we went to green cactus. I ate a sombrero, and he got nachos. Oh, he got beer before this and was drinking it while eating. All of a sudden, Andrew walks into green cactus and conor invited him to sit with us. The andrew from your lab. lmao. He talked a lot and it was fun but he's too openly self-conscious. And then he kept asking these questions, like "why do people act the way they do?" and wanted me to answer and kept saying like "you should know, you're a psychology major." like... i didn't like it. whatevs. Anyways, then we parted, and we had to walk the other way, and it was really hard to like finally say goodbye, cause he kept trying to talk. you and con were so right.

So, then conor still had beer left, so we were like what now? So we were like lets go to the stadium, and magically the main entrance was open to the stadium. So, we went all the way up on the benches and sat down, while he drank his beers. It was like we felt so small, and so big at the same time. No one was there, except maybe in the building on top of us, but it was really cool. It was so quiet and peaceful and you could see people playing basketball, and you could see the clouds, and the huge field. Then we started hearing people's noises, so we got scared and started to leave. But I really wanted to stand on the stadium, but Conor wanted to see if the back entrance was open. So we walked outside, and the other entrance wasn't open, so we walked back into the main entrance. It was already dark out and we also wanted to look at the stars, so it seemed fun and exciting at the time.

PAUSE MY BRO JUST SAID OH YOU KNOW ABOU (MY DAD) HAS A FACEBOOK. I PRETENDED NOT TO LISTEN CAUSE I HAD MY HEADPHONES IN BUT WHAT THE FUCK. MY BRO IS SO ANNOYING. I HATE LIFE. but whatevs its nothing really.

anyways, so we go back in the field and we see other people running up and down the stairs of the bleachers. we were like whatevs, and we walked onto the SB in the middle of the field. meanwhile, conor's holding a beer in his hand and drinking it nonchalantly. all of a sudden, i hear the gates closing, and i start freaking out. i was like fuck those girls are closing the gates, what do we do now!! i start running to tell them to stop, but conor was like stop, thats how you get in trouble! so i was freaking out, and then when the girls walked away, we checked if the gates were actually locked and yes, yes they were. -_-

so here i am freaking out, and conor's drinking a beer, and we're totally stuck in the stadium. and now i really feel small, while the whole stadium's huge.

con's like don't worry we can jump over the fence, and i'm like i dont know how to! and he's like don't worry i got you, and i'm like no we have to get out of here! and he's like stop freaking out. he's still drinking his beer, and i'm completely sober and freaking out and it's dark and yeah.

so anyways, we find this door behind a net near a goal area. we walk into it.. with the beer still in conors hand. i didn't care at this point, i just wanted to get out of there. so conor opens another door and it had a box full of flags and con steals this flag of california. then we walk around the corner, and i'm still freaking out. we find this lockerroom and someone was in there, so we run out. now back onto the field. we walk towards another gate and it was like a drivethru (did i spell that right?) and  thank god that gate was not closed/locked, so we walked right out. then con obvi wanted to go back into there and steal a new york flag, but i refused. cause i was still freaking out. would you have gone back in?

so, anyways that was that. i got a twisted tea afterwards and chilled with renee alexa and ktyna. we found this water thing that has stairs and no cameras and no signs, that jasmine said she's climbed to the roof of before. so we should totally do it.

anyways, yeah home is boring. nothing special yet. still have to unpack. i'm bored. i don't have a bike or anything. going to watch ironman soon. glee was really good! gave me the chills when they won.

Well, I got home to find out that the stupid pilots of Air India went on strike, so my mom's flight got pushed to May 27th. (Also the day of Rishi's sisters wedding, which I bought a really cute dress for, which I now can't attend, which I don't know how to tell Rishi because I feel really bad for letting him down because he already accuses me of being a terrible person and even though it really pisses me off I want to prove him wrong more than I am annoyed by it.) Anyway, we found out all of this on Saturday night/Sunday morning.

So, Sunday (Mother's Day), me and Asha decided we would make breakfast for my mom at around 9 AM (Asha set her alarm and everything.) Since I'm still on my crack of dawn sleep schedule aka go to sleep at 5 because I'm catching up on my tv show addictions, I was delirious come 2 hours later. My dad storms into my room at 7 saying that he's hungry, I just ignore and go back to sleep. Then I semi-wake up to hear him lecturing Asha at around 8 AM saying that if we commit to doing something, we should do it. So I rouse myself and go help out and we cook an amazing breakfast (scrambled eggs with onions and peppers and tomatoes and toast and potatoes and whatnot). After we finish, all we hear is our dad saying how much we suck and blahblahblah and if we commit to doing something we should do it (after we actually did it...and it's only 9 AM) 

Friendly reminder: it's still Mother's Day and all we do is hear him bitch and moan.

Then he's all friendly like, oh lets go for a walk and bike ride. So I was like yeah I'll bike ride. (Worst. Decision. Ever.) Me and my dad go for a bike ride, and we ride under the Verrazano Bridge, it's beautiful, but I keep my distance the whole time to avoid lecture etc. It's really strenuous and uphill so basically I was dying. On the way back down it's a huge slope, and I haven't really ridden since last summer so I'm still getting my groove back, and there's mad speedbumps. My dad is way ahead of me and we're going at the speed of light, legit my stomach was in my throat I was so scared. I had both brakes on and saw a speedbump coming, so i turned to go around it, instead i go over it and fall head first and I'm miraculously okay so I'm all like omg I survived 

I look ahead and realize that my dad was turning back to see if I was okay so I run towards him

He's covered in blood when I reach him and his bike is banged up

He's all silent like and I get scared and run to him and help him out and start washing the blood off of him with my canteen

His hand is pretty swollen and shit so I don't even know wtf to do

Also I have Asha's phone because I didn't bring mine cuz I had no pockets and didnt know the passcode so I had to borrow a strangers to call my Mom to tell her to come get us

Anyways we fix up his bike, hes gushing blood, we make our way over to them

Go to the emergency room, find out that he broke a part of his hand

As we're sitting in the emergency room, my dad commences to tell me how much I suck and how I'm lame and blah blah blah, I don't want to get into it

But basically I felt like a pile of shit

Then we go home and he acts like a martyr

It's still Mother's Day

I give my Mom the card and candle lolz and she loved it

Also, my cousin Sharath wanted to drive down to Atlanta to visit his sister with me and Asha this week, but Asha had finals. So I really still wanted to go but she was a bitch and was like that's not fair if she goes when I can't so my parents said no.

So anyways that's all thats new. I finished one of my papers and submitted it because I finished it 1/2 hour before the deadline, but you have to edit the other one.

I've also been ignoring Franco because he's been so annoying lately, he's so quick to judge everything I do but when I say something bad against what he's doing, he acts like a God. 

So idk, summer's off to a good start!

OMG I forgot to tell you, my cousins husband works for an IT Company that's providing a program for pharmaceutical companies, and basically gave me an internship. I'm pretty excited but also scared.

I just want to fast forward to India so I don't have to worry about writing 10 pages and appeasing people and studying for the LSAT's,
