Woodpecker Cider

Get a pitcher of this at Josie's Woods Pub on 11 Waverly Place. An alcoholic Apple Cider Drink, it's sweet and delicious. I didn't even taste the alcohol. Great for a group of college friends. There are one or two pool tables in the back.

BOKA St. Marks

Chicken and Beer is the way to go! BOKA offers soy garlic and spicy flavored chicken, along with soju and American/Japanese beers. Various korean entrees and sushi are served as well, but it's a little too pricey imo.

Try Song 7.2, located in East Village, right behind St. Marks. They serve hearty and delicious entrees, which are cooked on open burners in the back of the restaurant/bar - old-school yes but it adds to a fun atmosphere. One of the easiest drinks to make (imo) with only six ingredients (white rum, sugar, lime, sparkling water, mint, and strawberry puree). The refreshing citrus, minty flavors complement the kick of rum. Although the mojito is a fairly popular drink, if you have still never tried this, get on it!

Amaretto Sour

One of my favorite drinks. Perfect drink for those who hate the bitter taste of alcohol. It has a sweet (from the cherry) and sour (sour mix) taste. Definitely a must-try.

Polar Lounge at Marcel Hotel

I attended a friend's 21st birthday at Polar Lounge last night. She received VIP status and was given a table in the 'cave' (refer to the picture). Located in Gramercy, the Polar Lounge is pretty small for its size. But everyone knew how to have fun - dance, drink, socialize. The staff was friendly; the GM was even mingling with us. We had to go through coat check - $3, probably because the lounge was that spatially limited. The bathroom was unisex and had only one stall; be prepared to wait on a long line. Overall it's a cute place for a group of friends.

Salon Millesime at Carlton Hotel

If you like live jazz and waitresses serving you in gorgeous, red dresses and black heels, this is the lounge for you. Located on 29th Street and Madison Avenue, Salon Millesime serves some notable martinis. The sparkling wine and hummus was good imo.
