Ningbo Nightscape under a Full Moon
An expansive evening image of the skyline of Ningbo, China, reflected on placid lake. Standing against a deep blue sky with a big, bright full moon are tall, illuminated skyscrapers, one of which has the Marriott emblem. The image's center is filled with a magnificent horizontal band of golden light from a promenade by a river. During the "blue hour" of late nightfall, the vista shows a contemporary urban skyline along a sizable body of water, most likely the Yong River or Moon Lake. Important Landmarks: The frame is dominated by a number of illuminated skyscrapers, including a large tower on the far right with the Marriott emblem. An additional tall, cylindrical tower with an antenna Scott Mendell, high-resolution posters and canvas prints
Skyline of the New York, Neon City Nighttime
The image is a stylized digital 2D vector graphic of the nighttime skyline of New York City, notably Lower Manhattan, in the style of vaporwave and synthwave. With other skyscrapers surrounding by neon blue, pink, and purple lights, the One World Trade Center is a striking feature in the middle. Against a dark, starry sky, the city is reflected on the placid river below. Central Feature: Sharp, clear lines and a brilliant, prismatic gradient of pink and blue are used to show the One World Trade Center (Freedom Tower), the highest structure in the area. Scott Mendell, high-resolution posters and canvas prints

The famous Brooklyn and Manhattan Bridges, which span the East River, are seen from above. The cityscape features a busy downtown region with lots of buildings and skyscrapers. The image captures a turning point in the urban growth of New York City by offering a broad, high-altitude view looking south over Lower Manhattan. Important visual components include of: The Bridges: With its lengthy approach ramp slicing through the city toward the East River, the Brooklyn Bridge takes up much of the frame. The Manhattan Bridge, which crosses the river further north, is seen in the distance. Scott Mendell, high-resolution posters and canvas prints
Most Famous Panorama of Seattle with Space Needle and Mount Rainier at Sunset
The most well-known view of Seattle, Washington, is shown in this picture. An aerial photograph taken from Kerry Park shows the Seattle skyline at dusk. Among the shimmering downtown skyscrapers on the left is the lit Space Needle. The snow-capped summit of Mount Rainier rises magnificently against a blue and purple sky in the background. Autumn trees' vivid yellow and orange foliage frames the foreground, while the city's lights provide a cozy warmth over the cityscape. Foreground: The image's bottom is framed by vivid yellow and orange tree leaves, which gives the urban area a seasonal warmth. Scott Mendell, high-resolution posters and canvas prints

Old New York, Bethesda Fountain and Terrace, Central Park, 1865 high-res image
A historical black and white photograph of Bethesda Terrace in Central Park, taken in 1865. The scene features the fountain and surrounding landscape with people gathered around. The artwork is a high-contrast, sepia-toned illustration that captures the Bethesda Terrace area during a significant transitional period in Central Park's history. Key visual elements include: The Original Fountain: At the center of the large circular pool is a modest, tiered fountain fixture. This was the original "Old Fountain" that predated the iconic "Angel of the Waters" statue, which was not unveiled until 1873. Decorative Pillars: In the immediate foreground, two ornate sandstone pillars with intricate carvings frame the view. These are part of the Terraces complex architectural "heart," designed by Calvert Vaux and Jacob Wrey Mould. The terrace is populated by several groups of people dressed in 19th-century attire, showing the areas early popularity as a public gathering space. To the left, a very tall, thin flagpole or flagstaff rises high above the treeline. The dense foliage of the Ramble is visible across the water in the background. The image uses a graphic "scribble" or etched texture to overlay a historical stereographic composition, giving the vintage scene a modern, textured aesthetic while preserving its historical accuracy. The image documents the Terrace when its architecture was still being finalized during and shortly after the American Civil War. It highlights the designers' original vision of a formal gathering space that subordinates architecture to the surrounding natural landscape. This specific high-resolution artwork is part of the "Old New York" series by digital and mixed-media artist Scott Mendell. The original image is a black-and-white photograph currently held in the Anthony Angel Collection at the Library of Congress.
Fenghuang Ancient Town on the Tuojiang River, Hunan Province, China
The tranquil beauty of Fenghuang Ancient Town, also known as "Phoenix Ancient Town," which is situated in western Hunan Province, is captured in this picture. The town is well-known for its distinctive fusion of Han, Miao, and Tujia ethnic cultures as well as its remarkably well-preserved Ming and Qing Dynasty architecture. The Tuojiang River, the town's "mother river," is the broad, green-tinted river that runs across the middle of the picture. Tourists can enjoy a tranquil view of the ancient seashore on traditional wooden rowboats. Diaojiaolou are multi-story wooden buildings that lean over the water on the right bank. In order to maximize the limited riverfront space and protect them from seasonal floods, these dwellings were constructed on stilts. The village is often referred to as a "living masterpiece" that resembles a traditional Chinese ink painting since it is tucked away against steep, heavily forested mountains. The town is currently a significant center for cultural tourism, well-known for its colorful silver-forging businesses and lantern light displays at night. Jixian Pavilion at Night, West Lake, Hangzhou, China
The Jixian Pavilion, a famous landmark on Hangzhou, China's UNESCO-listed West Lake, is captured in this tranquil photo. Here, the pavilion is visible in the gentle light of a big, bright full moon, perched elegantly above the lake and connected to the coast by a thin boardwalk. Known as the "first pavilion of West Lake," Jixian Pavilion is renowned for its elaborate, golden-lit design and multi-layered rooflines, which are hallmarks of traditional Qing Dynasty architecture. In the past, the Qianlong Emperor would watch military parades there, and it is still a popular place for academics and artists to find inspiration. Vibrant pink lotus blossoms and their wide green leaves grow on the surface of the lake in the lower right. These flowers, which typically reach full bloom between June and August, are a seasonal feature of West Lake. The illuminated pavilion is perfectly reflected by the water's surface, which serves as a mirror. The metropolitan skyline and mountain outlines may be seen in the distance beneath a sky that is changing from the rich purples of twilight to night blue. One of the "18 Famous Scenes of West Lake" created during the Qing Dynasty is Jixian Pavilion. It represents the traditional Chinese idea of harmony between nature and building. The location is especially well-known for its breathtaking sunset views, making it a popular subject for both professional and amateur photographers. Phoenix Skyline at Night, Arizona, US
At night, a dynamic city skyline is illuminated, displaying a blend of contemporary skyscrapers and urban lights. The cityscape is dramatically enhanced by the full moon, which hovers brightly in the clear night sky. Under a big full moon, this picture depicts a colorful nighttime view of Downtown Phoenix, Arizona, with notable office buildings and monuments. The cityscape is photographed from above, with a view of the city's south side. Important characteristics consist of: Luhrs Tower: The famous Art Deco skyscraper to the left is the 14-story, National Register of Historic Places-listed Luhrs Tower, which was finished in 1929. City Hall and Government District: Phoenix City Hall and other structures from the city's government district are displayed in the backdrop and central sections. Downtown Parks: The brilliant blue night sky contrasts with streetlights illuminating a green space area in the foreground, maybe close to Civic Space Park or the former Patriots Square Park. Illuminated Skyline: Glowing windows may be seen in office buildings like the Wells Fargo Plaza and more recent glass-fronted high-rises, while distant construction cranes indicate that the downtown area is still undergoing development.

Manhattan and Brooklyn showing Battery Park and Governors Island, New York City 1850 Photograph by Cityscaper
German-American publisher and artist John Bachmann produced this sepia-toned lithograph in 1851. Rather than being a single artist's literal perspective from a high position, it was mathematically assembled from hundreds of ground-level sketches and is regarded as a pioneering example of the "bird's-eye view" genre. Before the two cities were combined into a single municipality in 1898, the illustration provides a thorough aerial view of the two cities as they were in the middle of the 19th century.

Tokyo Tower Against a Urban Landscape, Skyline and Blue Sky, Japan by Cityscaper
The illuminated Tokyo Tower serves as the main feature in this evening aerial picture of the Tokyo skyline, which is named "Tokyo Tower Against an Urban Landscape". With its characteristic warm orange and yellow nighttime illumination, the 333-meter-tall building stands out in the middle. The Eiffel Tower served as the model for its design.
When the Tokyo Tower was finished in 1958, it was the highest building in Japan until the Tokyo Skytree overtook it in 2012. With two observation decks, it continues to serve as both a broadcasting tower and a popular tourist destination, serving as a significant symbol of Japan's post-war recovery.
