The psych medications doctors give me,
Those are meds that they give to everyone with this "disorder"
The problem, is that not everyone is the same. So having to constantly readjust these meds, does not work. It temporarily halts the symptoms sure. But only temporarily. And for some people. Those are good drugs. For some people, it works for them. It saves their lives.
But again, not everyone is the same.
What caught my psychiatrist and therapist- every single one of those fuckers that I have seen and got "treated" by is- when I told them that I smoke Marijuana habitually, they scolded me. They shamed me and said it wasn't good for me.
Then, proceeded to hand over seroquel, Lexapro and Xanax for bipolar 2 and panic disorder.
They prescribed me xanax knowing I had already been taking them off the street. After telling me "no don't do that, take these ones that I'm getting paid for giving to you"
If I'd told them about my heroin and (r)oxy use, I'd have probably given something to "treat" my addiction as well. Because "I'm too young to be doing shit like that"
I have found what works for me as an individual. Xanax is what helps me function in society when I take it as needed. And it isn't for everyone. A majority of people who use things of that sort can't control the intake and use it to get high. And if you need to use something constantly and are having physical whydrawals, it means that you are dependent. Obviously. You are dependent on this drug and unless it isn't getting in the way of your life, unless you aren't ruining yourself or the people around you, then maybe find something else that works for you.
I used to think that the worst drug in the world was heroin. The absolute worst. But look at all these functioning addicts that just need a boost to make it in life. There are plenty of people that don't go violently dopesick and start robbing people and it just gives such a bad name to a drug that can honestly, in moderation with self control, be an amazing pain reliever- both physical and mental.
The problem, is people. The problem is that humans can't figure out how and when it is appropriate to take this drugs, we don't know, haven't been taught to ration our doses.
Instead, we get shamed by the medical industrial complex that weed and psychedelics and anything that helps you cope in a healthy way is bad. But then they give you all these other meds to pay their bills.
