I love ships where person-B looks like person-A's long-gone lover and in theory, they could work out as a relationship, but everyone knows they shouldn't because both parties (and maybe outside parties) would feel as if person-A is using person-B to fill the void their past lover left so that would inevitably lead in their relationships downfall with their inability to successfully communicate with each other about this and clear the air. Deep down person-A cares about and loves person-B as the individual they are, but the seed of doubt has been planted, and person-B feels it too. Person-A is unable to trust themselves with their feelings, as they are too unstable to understand their own emotions, and if person-A can't understand their own grievances and feelings, how could person-B? So they either get together and suffer a lack of communication with a bunch of uncertainties, or they let each other go, too fear mongered by each other to give it a shot, so they let each other pass by, left to only wonder what could've been, along with the negativities of what could've been, something that might've been beautiful, just as much as it might've been harmful, it's more likely then not that they'll never know, even after person-A is over their long-gone lover.
