                   listening to her story  ...  made him feel a bit nervous about sharing his own.  she had completely valid reasoning  -  being within law almost ran within her blood.  an anxious sigh passed through his lips,  before his fingers gently rubbed against his own cheek.  ‘  now that you’ve spoken yours,  mine seems rather....  childish.  ‘  he gave a light  -  hearted smile.  ‘  with your sister being a prosecutor,  i’m sure you’re aware of the name of miles edgeworth  ?  ‘  dark hues would blink a few times in thought,  the memory was a bit too special for him  --  despite both larry  &  miles appearing not to care about it.  ‘  when i was in grade school,  we were in the same class.  edgeworth got his lunch money stolen from him,  &  the whole class thought i did it.  we had a  “  class trial  “  about it.  even when i was found guilty,  he stuck up for me.  he knew i didn’t do it.  ‘  he paused,  a nervous laugh beginning to form.  ‘  i never wanted to feel like that again,  &  although it’s kind of... silly,  so to say,  but i knew i wanted to relieve the false accusations of others, just like he did for me.  ‘

                   ‘  ---  well...  ‘  his pointer finger  &  thumb carefully rubbed at the smooth skin on his chin,  trying to pin  -point the correct words.  ‘  doesn’t it strike you as odd,  that he was found in mid  -  seizure  ?  after being missing for nearly a week  ?  conveniently,  in public  ?  ‘  his head would tilt,  it wasn’t adding up.  he knew she was suspected for abduction  &  assault,  saying she kept him locked in a room,  being ruthlessly beaten,  least that’s what the injuries seemed to tell.  ‘  even if they argue that you placed him there to die,  there’s...  no feeble way.  he was discovered here,  in the park.  your house is here,  correct  ?  i’m no medical expert,  but there’s no way you could transport him in that time frame from your house,  to the park,  with him still having a seizure.  ‘  

                   ‘  you’re the victims cousin,  i presume  ?  ‘  taking a quick glance at the other,  he could see the few similarities  -  especially in stature.  though their eyes tended to be the same color,  it appeared.  ‘  please.  it’d honestly help me  &  suzui if you told me all you knew about him,  &  what happened the few days prior before he went missing.  ‘

                   ‘  so let me get this straight.  ‘  pause.  ‘  the victims name is yusuke kitagawa  :  he was found in mid  -  seizure in public,  after being missing for numerous days.  you were the last one seen with him,  &  therefore immediately became a suspect for kidnapping  &  possible torture methods,  as he was found with abrasions on his body  &  obviously malnourished  &  dehydrated.  ‘  he’ll rub at his cheek,  flipping through the case file.  ‘  this..  this already sounds...  fishy.  ‘ 

                   ‘  ---  if you don’t mind me asking...  ‘  he started,  ‘  what made you decide you wanted to study law  ?  ‘  he knew his own reasoning was a bit...  sentimental,  but  -  he was always curious to hear others stories.  least,  he’s seen her around the district office enough,  though unclear if it was for an internship,  or merely visiting her sister at work.

                   ah  –  her sister  …  ?  the attorney couldn’t help but begin to ponder,  trying to scrape at his memories to figure out what the girl meant  …  she couldn’t mean  -  ‘  wait,  is your sister nijiima  ?  i had gone against her a few months ago,  but…  ‘  she lost.  he didn’t think that he’d have an impact on her to the point of switching to the opposite side of her career.  ‘  haha  -  you think  ?  i doubt i had quite anything to do with it.  though,  i suppose it’d be an honor.  she sure gave me a hard trial…  there were a few times i thought i was done for.  ‘
