jane the virgin: portraying a bisexual man in a healthy relationship and slaying biphobes since 2017
you have this idea in your head that the only time youâre worthy of being loved is when youâre at your best. youâre still worthy of being loved when youâre at your lowest. youâre still worthy of being loved when you donât want to go on anymore. you are still worthy of being loved even when you donât love yourself. you are a human and therefore always worthy of being loved and donât you fool yourself into thinking otherwise.Â

Anyways gay people who try to put other gay people down for fitting stereotypes instead of questioning why that behavior offends straight people so much are boring and need to do some self evaluation
one of the worst feelings ever is being in your own house and feeling like you need to go home
yeah dude
Being afraid to check your bank account is the adult version of being afraid to check your grades.
College is when youâre afraid of both
Can you believe we live in a society where people are kissing Elsaâs ass and viewing her as a great big sister despite neglecting Anna through their whole ass childhood just cause she has the ability to make fucking freezer ice cubes while Nani, a dedicated brown woman who despite lost her parents by a lethal storm had to push her grief aside because Lilo was now her main priority, took care of her, fed her, probably paid money for her hula classes, busted her ass at her job to financially support Lilo, busted her ass to emotionally support Lilo, supported Liloâs photography talent even though Liloâs theme was a little weird, got her a dog and even during moments where Nani hit was hitting rock bottom (ex: getting fired but didnât put her frustration out on Lilo) she did whatever it took to keep her little sister from being taken away, and wanted nothing but happiness and safety for her.

Stop regretting the past. Stop dwelling on all of the chances you wish you took and the moments when wish you kept quiet. All of the first kisses you were too afraid to lean into, all of the 5 seconds of no-fear that you never had. For whatever reason, you made the choices you made and theyâve shaped you into who you are today. You did what you thought was right. You did what you had to do to make it to where you are today. Donât look back in sorrow. Do not lament. Simply let it be and look forward into your infinite future. You are doing so great.
I know we all talk shit about cops at pride, but I have to say, watching the police/military/ranger contingent walk past at the San Diego Pride Parade made me cry of happiness and this is why: watching this small group of officers and civil servants proudly holding their partnerâs hands and marching in a place where they are very not welcome and people are screaming at them, âTHIS IS AGAINST PRIDEâ, filled me with so many emotions. These officers are on our side. They became officers to protect people like them, Us. I have a great deal of respect for lgbtq officers, they put their life on the line more than any âordinaryâ officer and theyâre doing it For Us. Thank them, donât boo them. It takes a great deal of courage to march in a pride parade, Especially for the officers, where they know theyâre not welcome. But it was beautiful watching uniformed officers proudly holding their boyfriendâs hand in the air, lesbian rangers and civilians hugging each other in solidarity, trans civilians thanking the trans military people for continuing to serve for our rights. As much as the police suck, weâve got our own in there, and theyâre trying theyâre damndest to change the system from the inside out
People who said family will always love and support you unconditionally probably did not experience whatâs it like to have an abusive, narcissistic family who donât know what is healthy love.
My home will be a home with no loud anger, no explosive rage, no slamming doors or breaking glass, no name calling, shaming or blackmail. My home will be gentle, it will be warm. It will keep my loved ones safe. No fear, no hurt and no worries. I may come from a broken and twisted place but I will build something whole and safe. Iâll sing in the shower again, cook with a smile and dance in all the rooms. I will heal.
âtheyâ (1 word) is shorter than âhe or sheâ (3 words)
âtheyâ is more inclusive than âhe/sheâ
âthemselfâ flows more naturally than âhim or herselfâ
âtheyâ is less clunky than â(s)heâ
itâs time to replace the awkward âshe or heâ
âhey can you go ask they what does they want for dinner, and when is they coming over to watch movies with they?â
âHey, can you go ask them what they want for dinner, and when theyâre coming over to watch movies?â
Step one is learning how to talk like a human person.
Friendly reminder:
âI shouldnât like to punish anyone, even if theyâd done me wrong.â âGeorge Eliot, The Mill on the Floss (1860)
âA person canât help their birth.â âWilliam Thackeray, Vanity Fair (1848)
âBut to expose the former faults of any person, without knowing what their present feelings were, seemed unjustifiable.â âJane Austen, Pride and Prejudice (1813)
âEvery Fool can do as theyâre bid.â âJonathan Swift, Polite Conversation (1738)
âSo likewise shall my heavenly Father do also unto you, if ye from your hearts forgive not every one his brother their trespasses.â âKing James Bible, Matthew 18:35 (transl. 1611)
âGod send every one their heartâs desire!â âWilliam Shakespeare, Much Ado About Nothing (~1600)
âNow this king did keepe a great house, that euerie body might come and take their meat freely.â âSir Philip Sidney, the Arcadia (1580)
âIf ⌠a psalme scape any person, or a lesson, or els yt they omyt one verse or twayneâŚâ âWilliam Bonde, The Pylgrimage of Perfection (1526)
âAnd whoso fyndeth hym out of swich blame, / They wol come up and offre a GoddĂŠs nameâ âGeoffrey Chaucer, The Pardonerâs Tale (~1380)
âĂžan hastely hiČed eche wiČt on hors & on fote, / huntyng wiČt houndes alle heie wodes, / til Ăžei neyČĂžed so neiČh to nymphe Ăže soĂže [Then hastily hied each person on horse and on foot / hunting with hounds all the high woods / âtil they came so near, to tell the truth]â âWilliam and the Werwolf (transl. ~1350-1375)
âBath ware made sun and mon, / AiĂžer wit Ăžer ouen light [Both were made sun and moon / Either with their own light]â âCursor Mundi (~1325)
Weâve been using they/them/their pronouns to indicate a person with unspecified gender for a long ass fucking time. The only reason itâs become a big issue lately is because it can be used as a semi-respectful term for trans and non-binary folks and we canât have that can we
These fucks are literally trying to change our language to hurt trans/nb folks, and claiming thatâs just the way its always been
how did that person forget the word âthemâ
