That should get you everything you need for bigger tires and suspension lift with tight steering. I would only use the TerraFirma brand because all the parts just fit better.

Got my Terrafirma fender flares on! Just a quick side note. If you are planning on building one of these up the max tire size for this truck with a 3 inch lift would be 285/75R16s which are 33inch tire. If you want to go higher you need to get the Flexi Flares but be aware, they require a lot of cutting. I’m talking about 3-4 inches off your quarter panels! So you loose quite a bit of your structure. If you live in a region that uses a lot of salt on the roads... you’re opening yourself up for major rust issues.

If your Disco doesn’t have a TF230 locking transfer case I wouldn’t mess with a swap. Instead look into ARB differential lockers! They are worth the money and would outperform the transfer case. Even with the TF230 the traction control system will still only put power to the tire with the least resistance which could be in the air, whereas if you have lockers, power goes to all four tires regardless of resistance

After 4 months of wrenching I finally got her out on a test run and I cannot even being to tell you how impressive this unit is. She outperformed in every task I put in front of her. We even got deep into some mud! I have a few more upgrades that I want to add such as up graded bumpers, winch, roof rack and snorkel. I would have had a lot more pictures of the first run but I forgot my SD card for the GoPro at home when I got to Tuttle Creek. I will be going out again this weekend and I’ll have much more to share

You can see how much of a difference the upgrades made to the overall look of the Disco. This is a 2002 and all the Disco II’s were not outfitted with the locking transfer case with an exception of the 04 which was the last year for the series 2. You can get a kit to add the locking mechanism to the other years but the traction control system do work pretty good! The locking transfer case just adds that extra touch of bad ass to your Disco.

This added a real nice touch to the Disco but it looked kind of funny with the old 255/55R18s so I purchased some TerraFirma 16 crawler rims and upgraded to 265/75R16 NITTO terra grappler tires. The results were amazing and turned this pavement queen into the ultimate trail boss!

I found this little gem on a farm about 30 miles south east of Harrison MO. She was in near perfect condition with absolutely no rust but she had a missfireing issue that I later found out was the injector O rings that had been eaten away due to the previous owner using the wrong type of gas. She takes premium fuel only or the heig ethanol content will dissolve all your seals! So if you run a Disco be sure to keep that premium gas ONLY in your tank.
