★New (MHA) OC: Kaibo Akira
AND HERE HE IS AT LAST! (ノ◕ヮ◕)ノ*.✧
Hello world and all who inhabit it! How have you been? I know I've been gone for the past few weeks, but I've finally managed to return with my new child: Akira! ✧◝(⁰▿⁰)◜✧
This is a character whose concept I'd had in my head for a while, but I didn't get around to perfecting or putting it on paper until I started playing around with the AI not too long ago. XD
Oh, but don't worry, I didn't use the AI for this, I swear! (。□°) Her design is 100% mine, as are the story and the Quirk. I only used AI to structure all the ideas into something coherent and meaningful. As you'll see below, Akira's Quirk is a bit long and complex, since my intention with this character was to create a "medical hero." But not a doctor who uses light to heal people or kisses like Recovery Girl. That was boring and unoriginal, so instead, I started thinking of something more fun and grotesque, but just as effective and versatile.
That's how the Quirk: Cellular Chimera was born.
And well, you're probably very curious about it... or not. In any case, that's all for now! Here we have Akira and her character sheet with all the details regarding her design and her Quirk. So let's go!
Introduction (Hero Costume, Phase 3):
★Civilian Name: Kaibo Akira (his name is Akira)
★Quirk Description: Ability to control one's own and others' biomass through contact.
★Quirk Details (Extended):
(WARNING: Akira's Quirk is very detailed, so yes, there's a lot of text to explain its full scope. Some things are a bit strange because Akira's Quirk is supposed to be morbid, so you've been warned.)
🛠️What does it actually do?: Akira's Quirk grants him absolute control over biomass (his own and others' through contact). He can decompose, reassemble, and mutate tissues at a molecular level. His body is a "3D printer of flesh" with a nearly infinite DNA database.
🕹️Applications (Akira's Perspective):
*Autophagy and Regeneration: Akira can "devour" his own damaged cells and instantly replace them. He doesn't scar; he rebuilds. If he loses an arm, his cells "remember" the design and print it again in seconds.
*Tissue Engineering (Living Grafts): He can create limbs or biological tools (such as creatures and mutants). He can fuse DNA from different species to create organs with enhanced functions (hawk-like eyes, reinforced skin).
*Dominion Transfusion: By introducing his blood or tissue into another organism, Akira imposes his cellular will. His biomass acts as a "support parasite" that repairs the host, but on Akira's terms.
*Biochemical Synthesis: His body is a walking pharmacy. He can alter his metabolism to secrete pure adrenaline, sedatives, neurotoxins, or antidotes through his pores or fluids.
⚠️Limitations and Risks (The Cost of the "God of Flesh"):
*Monstrous Caloric Expenditure: Regenerating an organ consumes a brutal amount of energy. After a "death" or major healing, Akira needs to ingest enormous quantities of glucose and protein, or his body will begin to consume itself (self-cannibalism).
*Aggressive Rejection: Other people's bodies often perceive Akira's Quirk as an invasive infection. If the recipient is incompatible or if Akira is careless, his "cure" can become an uncontrolled tumor that devours the patient.
*Phantom Pain: Even though he regenerates, Akira feels everything. He has died and been revived so many times that his nervous system is on the verge of permanent sensory collapse, which explains his cynicism and emotional detachment.
📉 Long-Term Consequences:
*Host Corruption: Those saved by his blood develop a mild biological dependence or subtle personality changes, becoming more resilient but "less human."
⭐Extra Quirk Rules and Details⭐
(NOTE: This is something I added to complement the Quirk because I came up with some interesting things regarding Akira's regeneration and its details, so please excuse me if it throws you off a bit.)
🌱Regenerative Factor: "Extreme Cellular Persistence"
*Point of Origin: Akira can completely regenerate himself even if he has been reduced to a soft mass of flesh. As long as a sufficiently large fragment remains (a piece the size of a fist), his cells can "reboot" the system and regenerate the entire body.
*Environmental Immunity: His Quirk adapts his cells at an absurd speed. He can survive deadly poisons by processing them as nutrients and withstand extreme temperatures (fire or freezing) by hardening his cell membrane in real time.
⚙️Energy Economy: "The Rule of Re-union":
*Akira is pragmatic. Although he can regenerate an arm from scratch, it refers to recovering the lost part.
*Biomass Savings: If he loses a limb, Akira can force his body into a 24-hour standby state. If Akira loses an arm, he retrieves it and attaches it to the wound within that time; his biological threads instantly "weld" it. If more than 24 hours pass without Akira being able to reconnect the lost arm, then his body will regenerate the lost limb against his will, while the severed part will lose its regenerative properties and begin to decompose.
*Efficiency: Reconnecting existing tissue uses 10% of the energy required to print new flesh. If he regenerates it from scratch, Akira is left exhausted and hungry; if he simply reattaches it, he can continue making cynical jokes without batting an eye.
*Active Cells: Due to the "standby mode" in case there's a possibility of regenerating lost parts and organs, there's a chance they'll continue "functioning" for that 24-hour period. For example, if he loses his arm, it might twitch occasionally, like a lizard's tail when it detaches. This is how Akira knows the regeneration factor is still active in the arm's cells and can be used in experiments or consumed by someone else. However, after 24 hours away from "Akira Central," the cells will deactivate, lose the regeneration factor, and begin to decompose.
*"Headless" Mode: In the extreme case where Akira is decapitated and his body is lost, he can continue functioning. His body can keep moving on its own while his head develops roots that help him process lost functions (like oxygen deprivation or blood pumping). In this state, Akira is fully aware of what's happening, but he's also vulnerable until his body returns. If 24 hours pass without his head returning, Akira will regenerate almost every cell in his body from scratch, instead of simply rebuilding and repairing the damaged area. This is a much more massive and dangerous expenditure of energy for him (unlike regenerating from scratch using the largest piece of meat, which is 100% automatic), so he prefers to avoid this state at all costs or slow down the regeneration process while consuming nutrients that will help him regenerate without the risk of becoming malnourished and collapsing for several days.
🍖Akira's Sacrament (Sharing the Power):
*Akira can grant his regeneration to others, but the method is... visceral.
*Oral Route (Blood): Drinking his blood grants the recipient temporary accelerated healing. The effectiveness depends on the "dose": one drop closes a cut; one gulp rebuilds an organ. However, it's a temporary effect: once the patient's body metabolizes Akira's blood, the "magic" wears off.
*Oral Route (Flesh - The Secret): Consuming Akira's solid tissue is the ultimate taboo. The regeneration granted is far more potent, longer-lasting, and can even provide superhuman physical stamina for hours. Akira guards this secret jealously, not for ethical reasons, but because he doesn't want people to see him as a free-for-all healing buffet.
*Biological Addiction: Those who receive his blood often experience a physical "crash" when the effect ends, feeling weaker than before.
*Rejection: If someone consumes too much of Akira's flesh or blood, their own cells could be "devoured" by his invasive biomass, turning the patient into an unstable chimera (a mutant, in short).
★Outfit Notes (Complete): Due to his position as a doctor, Akira carries a crossbody bag with basic first aid supplies and some lab components for his "express experiments." He also has a small pouch on the other side where he keeps his dehydrated experiments, which are creatures he created that he uses in combat instead of attacking himself. He activates these experiments with a mixture of water and a little of his own blood. As for the mask, he doesn't really need it to purify the air since he's immune to poisons (meaning he can't die from inhaling any toxins), but it does conceal his identity. However, the mask does work; he can use it with patients who have respiratory problems or people who can't tolerate airborne toxins.
So, what do you think of Akira so far? :D He has an interesting Quirk, right? I love it; it's so grotesque.
But anyway, let's continue, because Akira's outfit has more details, and it would be a shame not to appreciate them.
Hero Costume (Phase 1 and 2):
★In Phase 2, we can see the second layer of Akira's costume, which consists of a reinforced white lab coat for the battlefield and black rubber gloves.
★The lab coat has pockets for storing items or DNA vials. Akira really appreciates pockets.
★However, the garment is sleeveless, due toAkira needs access to his skin to use his Quirk: he uses his own flesh and blood for his experiments and remedies, so skin exposure is vital for him.
★The black rubber gloves maintain hygiene. They are easy to wash and he uses them for emergency surgeries or to create medicines with the tools in his bag.
★The gray mask is an emergency mask that he uses if the black mask is too uncomfortable for operating.
★In Phase 1, we have the base of Akira's costume: a long-collared, sleeveless shirt, green military pants, and black combat boots.
★The pants have pockets for the same reason as the lab coat.
★The boots are perfect for running on dirt and uneven terrain.
Alright, now that we have Akira's hero costume ready, let's move on to the others!
★In his casual clothes, Akira is very neat and tidy. He dresses almost elegantly, which is a stark contrast to his uniform.
★In uniform, Akira is a strange mess.
★He wears loose, baggy pants.
★His shirt is wrinkled and poorly tucked into his pants.
★His vest is wide open so they have access to the internal pockets he sewed in to store DNA samples or scalpels.
And finally, Akira's base! ✧◝(⁰▿⁰)◜✧
*Akira is very thin and almost muscle-less, due to his Quirk. Regenerating after dying or being seriously injured is a brutal drain on energy, so his body uses extra fat to recreate damaged body parts and lost limbs. However, Akira always keeps protein bars or vitamins close at hand to consume daily, thus preventing his body from appearing malnourished.
*Akira's hair is black and straight, shining in the light. He keeps his bangs straight and neat so they don't obstruct his eyes, but lets the back grow freely.
*Akira's eyes are dark and lack sparkle, giving him a haunting look. This is exacerbated by the dark circles under his eyes, a result of sleepless nights and the phantom pains he suffers from time to time.
*Otherwise, Akira's body and skin are perfect. His regeneration is so efficient that Akira is incapable of developing scars, blemishes, tans, or any other kind of anomaly. His skin is genetically smooth and pale like porcelain, and his only oddity is the mole under his left eye. Otherwise, Akira is flawless.
And that's all, folks! I hope you liked my boy Akira, and sorry for taking so long with him. (^~^;)ゞ I don't usually draw human male characters, so working on this guy was uncharted territory. Especially since I'd never drawn someone so thin before! I didn't want him to accidentally look like a girl, so I worked hard to get his exact build right, and I love it. He's awesome. ( ╹▽╹ ).
As for his face and hairstyle, I also had some trouble. I originally imagined Akira with short hair, but then I had an epiphany about his design and ended up using long hair. Why? Well, because I based his appearance on Tomie, the character from Junji Ito's manga. If you look closely, her hairstyle is quite similar, and even the mole under her eye that she has, Akira has too. XD I thought it was nice to add that detail in honor of the inspiration. What do you all think? I liked how everything turned out overall. The only other thing was the face. Honestly, even after so many tweaks, I still feel like it looks strangely squashed. :/ But oh well, it doesn't look too bad. I did what I could.
Anyway, with that, I've finally finished my boy Akira! And we can get back to our regular schedule. (╹▽╹). Let's hope my troll-drawing skills haven't gotten rusty, and no, Akira won't be the last MHA OC I draw. I have others in the works, but that'll be for another day.
Anyway, feel free to leave your opinion if you liked it. Or ask me questions if you have any! I love questions, and I'm always happy to answer anything you have in mind, so don't be shy. (✿^‿^)
