Doctor is a night owl through and through. I’ve mentioned this before and imma mention it again. He hates the sun and will almost never go out in it unless he has to. Ticket Taker calls for him as an example. Other than that, he remains in his tent where it is dark, it is quiet, there are no distractions, no messes to clean up, no fights to break up, just him and his work. So, whenever you visit his tent as a surprise, it does make his day less gloomy. You are the only light he allows in his life and he’s keeping it that way.

However if the two of you are walking somewhere together, you’ll never have to worry about something happening. You will never feel in danger around him, he’s your safe space and he prides himself on this. 

He’s intimidating as all hell and the way stands completely straight, even when walking. Very unnerving. This man is a 7ft plague doctor built like a brick wall. No one's trying something unless they are incredibly stupid. You’ll feel completely fine, heck you may not even notice.

Doctor isn’t a hand holder in my eyes, does he like to hold your hand? Yes but not in the usual, walking down the street, look at us, way. He’ll take your hands in his whenever you are sitting together and he will just examine your hand, gently moving your fingers with his to watch them move; or if you are cold he’ll hold your hands in his and lightly rub them together, he’s naturally very warm so it's like a mini fireplace.

Arm linker, that's what I think the Doctor is, and I think he gets that from a mix of Ticket Taker, and the plague doctor outfit he styles himself in. If for any reason you are just walking around the circus grounds with him - usually when it's darker outside - he’ll offer his arm for you to hold, he’ll do this when leading you out of his tent as well. He loves it if you lean on him when walking like this as well.

Will listen to heavy metal with you. If you start playing System of a Down to him, this man will lock in to whatever he’s working on. It's like a switch, one minute he’s having a nice conversation with you whilst he’s looking over a ‘previous patient's blood work’ then you put the music on? His shoulders relax and he gains this focused energy about him. It's quite nice watching him work like this. Don’t worry, he’ll still be listening if you are talking to him, he just won’t respond as often.

As your Doctor, he cares about your health and well-being above all else, this also includes your safety. 

If for any reason, you do not feel safe, contact him, go to him, talk to him. He’ll sort it out, cleaning up ‘messes’ is something he’s good at. If it's something to do with your surroundings and not people, he’ll walk around with you till that feeling goes away. Doctor has walked you home during the night before. But if it's another person? His eyes will change to red - That's the only sign you get he's pissed off. He’ll keep you near Ticket Taker, or direct you to one of the other shows, whilst he goes and ‘talks’ to this person. When he returns to you, his eyes will be back to normal and he’ll start rambling about a new experiment he tried whilst you were gone, and he will go into great detail, if you want him to.

Will he ask to perform experiments on you? Yes, are they dangerous? no, Will they hurt you? God no! He reserves those for ‘special’ patients. You are special in a different way to him. No, the experiments he conducts on you are harmless, he’s fascinated by every part of you, so he loves to see how your body reacts to things. He likes to stimulate your mind, get you to think as well so he’ll often throw a problem he’s having your way and get your view on it. 

Every single time, you visit him, doesn’t matter if you are just there to say hi before you go somewhere, EVERY TIME he will stop you and place his hand on your chest to feel your heartbeat, yes he knows the pressure points are easier, yes his stethoscope is directly behind him. Does he care? no. He will do this, every. single. goddamn. time. If you ask why, he shushes you and just stays there before moving back like nothing happened, he’ll never answer why he does it. Think on that one yourselves.

Collector birb, he loves collecting things, may his skull collection rest in peace. So if you collect things? Now you both collect things, Doctor will help you fill in any gaps in your collection and loves to give you little trinkets from his! He trusts you and knows you’ll take care of whatever he gives you. And sometimes what he gives you is um… questionable. But if you could see the smile on his face when he gives you an original pear of anguish - you may rethink throwing it at him. (Though if someone gave me that my historical brain would start doing backflips cuz thats cool as hell)

Doctor does enjoy touch, not to the same extent as Pierrot, and he won’t engage in touch as much as Harlequin. But every time he does touch you, it's meaningful, purposeful. A hand on your cheek, cuddling you into his lap, wrapping his cloak around you whenever you’re cold. I already mentioned the heart thing. He isn’t clingy but you’ll know he’s always got you in mind. 

He does love holding your waist whenever you are standing in front of him, he’s especially fond if you put your hands on his chest whilst talking to him. It's surprisingly intimate yet very natural for the two of you. Doctor also carries you a lot, Usually it's the bridal carry, sometimes he’ll perch you on his shoulders like a bird (role reversal?) But usually the first one. And he’ll do it randomly too.

He can read you like a book. Every emotion, every minor adjustment, every movement, he knows you inside and out nothing gets past him. If you are feeling upset he will know about it and don’t lie to him he hates that. He may be your ‘Doctor’ but you are his darling and he will take care of you mentally and physically. That's his job, literally. 

Doctor has a sense of humour, it's dryer than my social life, but it's there! We even saw him attempt to make a joke during the game. And though being funny isn’t his thing, he does attempt to make you laugh sometimes. Usually it's to see how you react when he says something off hand or out of character, though sometimes it is also just for his own amusement in seeing u chuckle.
