. apparently it's The Steven Universe Movie's anniversary recently so i relistened to the songs which inspired me to sketch some concepts of my version of a Super Mario Bros as Gems AU ! (ye that's from my side blog)
. to avoid confusion, the bros are named Mar10 & Lu161, the numbers are like their facet-cut name thingy but idk how that labeling works so i just went with like L33t text lol
. as mentioned in the ideas, the princess trio are diamonds: Amber (Daisy), Cyan (Rosalina), and Magenta (Peach), like CMYK printing inks lol, i just don't want em confused with canon Yellow, Blue, and Pink Diamonds. (perhaps there's a secret 4th diamond too~)
. Amber and Magenta became Sapphires, like canon Pink to Rose, so they became Dandelion and Peach respectively 🌼🍑
. i don't rlly have much of a story yet, i just wanna experiment with character designs :p
. but there is Mar assigned as Lu's Ruby guard, they had a mission on Earth but eventually became rebels and met the "Sapphires" who escaped Home-World.
. at some point Lu got reformatted and flipped into "Peri-L" (Peridot Mr.L), canon Spinel style, and like in the SU Movie, Lu lost his memories in the reform.
. Bowser Koopa as a Jasper, and King Boo as an Amethyst,
both were Quartz soldiers that got corrupted.

. again disclaimer, idk how facet/cut names work in SU canon so i just went with l33t speak so it's not far off the Mario characters :p
. idek what their fusion would be like, or if i want corruption to still be contagious... so let's just say after getting healed by Diamonds they're safe to fuse.

Actually for the Nintendo World fit i only wanted the scarf, but then my older sister insisted (and bought) me to wear the full getup bc "YOLO" and i was kinda embarrassed looking like some obsessed Luigi fan... but i am- 😭

I really love the idea that Mario and Luigi hold hands a lot. When they're walking somewhere they would constantly hold hands because they like to feel each other being close. Also hand holding as a method of calming the other (mostly Mario calming Luigi) down when one notices his bro's hands are shaking.

. i'm no writer but here's the scenario:
the gang were in the middle of playing golf when Luigi accidentally tripped & fell into a lake, classic clumsies~ Princess Peach felt guilty & insisted to lend him her extra clothes (she brought plenty) for the time being.
Luigi, literally looking like a drenched cat, couldn't say no to the princess but he doesn't mind wearing skirts at all, though borrowing someone else's undies is over the line. It's either soggy or nothing, he may have regret his choice a little bit...
The rest of the game went well, while Bowser may or maynot be having a bi-panic trying not to stare at Luigi's exposed legs 👀

my fav is one where Luigi dresses up as Peach & marries King Bowser in the end heheh but Royal Luigi with a Luaisy + Mareach ending would be pretty cute too
so i might draw more & be inconsistent to which version of the AU is going on lol
