( ★ くコ:彡 ) Even as she was being picked up, Marie still refused to open her eyes. In fact, being in his arms like this made her feel all the more comfortable. ❝Yeah but like … it’s for sure this time …❞ She mumbled, turning so she could feel more comfortable, if possible.
She didn’t know what she would do without Sidon. Although she wasn’t entirely dependable on him, at lot of the things he did for her made her life a lot easier. He was one of the few people she was very close to that wasn’t family, having known him for such a long time. They were incredibly close, their relationship budding into something that was far beyond friendship.
Though her eyes were still closed, Marie could sense that they had entered another room, most likely the living room. It wasn’t until then that she finally sensed it. Her eyes squinted open when her mind began to register exactly what it was. ❝You made breakfast …❞ She began to shift again, beginning to sit up as she looked around the room.
As they entered the dining area, her guess became a reality as he had in fact made breakfast for her. Although it wasn’t much of a surprise, no one wouldn’t be excited for breakfast made for them. ❝You know, I don’t know what I did to deserve this sort of thing.❞ She said yawning. Marie enjoyed many things in life, but this was probably one of her favorites. To wake up to breakfast made by the person she loved? The absolute best.
“This isn’t the first time you’ve said that either.”
He didn’t doubt that she had it in her to wake up on time most of the time. However, he knew well enough that late shows and long days especially took a toll on her. If he needed to be her safety net, then he was more than willing to play the role. Of course, he was more than happy to let her sleep in during the weekends. That just meant more quality time they could be spending together alone.
A hearty laugh passes through his lips as he sits her down by the table. She spoke almost as though he was some kind of blessing. A flattering insinuation, to be sure. He could have said the same thing about her, however. What had he done to deserve having someone as wonderful as her in his life? Even before they’d become an item, she was the best friend he could have ever asked for.
“Who knows? Maybe you were a saint in your past life and Karma’s paying you back tenfold. Now, eat up. We can plan out your day afterwards.“
