Do you happen to take commissions or requests for your lovely art?
That’s a really good question, I’ve been meaning to set up a spreadsheet for people who are interested in commissioning me- information as far as prices go and other details. The long and short of it is that due to personal matters I haven’t yet found the time. But if more people are interested in commissioning me, I would be more than happy to oblige! I’ll most likely start off small, doing 5-10$ character sketches or something before I go larger, just so I can see the demand.

What is spg? Is it a (steampunk?) band?
Essentially, yes! They are a pantomime group located in San Diego CA, who preform songs and skits and do mime as steampunk robots. Each member created their own characters, with an entire backstory, personality and lore written into them. Which you can find out more about on their website! Their music has its roots in vaudeville and folk music but they play from all sorts of different genres, in my opinion any genre that they tackle is always a pleasure to listen to- and has a creative uniqueness to it that other modern day bands don’t have. Overall they are completely entertaining as a group and are all lovely people. If you want my advice, definitely take a listen on their youtube channel. :) Hope this helps!

I love the art style of your Valentina piece; you said you were "looking at a lot of 50s lifestyle art with graphic black". I love that art style too! Do you have some artist names I could look up? I never know who does all that gorgeous advert art other than Rockwell and Leyendecker--especially with that use of black, that's my favourite.
oh yeah, absolutely! Leyendecker and Rockwell are absolute masters, but there are a ton of illustrators to look at for later, more graphic mid-century work. A couple favourites of mine include Al Parker:

Pete Hawley:
…and not entirely of the same school, but Mead Scheaffer is killer at large swaths of black and value grouping throughout a composition:
