Hot zombie night. Part 1.
Isaac Night. You all know his sad story. However, let me say a few good words about him. He didn't want to. True, he didn't want to do anything else, but fate played a cruel joke on him. And now, after his mechanical heart clattered to the floor in the laboratory for the last time, his body was once again carried to the foot of the skull-tree forever. But Isaac was cursed for his actions. He did not find peace after death and had to rise from the grave on Halloween eve until his soul was forgiven.
One day, on All Saints' Day, you were returning home through the park, enjoying the rustle of leaves under your feet and the autumn dampness in the air... It was already quite late, when suddenly, in the faint light of the lanterns, you saw a zombie sitting on a bench, who did not frighten anyone, did not have fun and did not collect sweets…I was just sitting all alone in the drizzle.
"Is everything okay?" —You asked as you approached him.
"I'm very cold." — he replied without raising his head. "And I'm very hungry."
Not much time has passed since his last death in the tower of Yago, and he has not yet decomposed so much. That's why he had dark curls on his head, but they were stuck together from the grave.
"You have nowhere to go?" — You're worried.
He shook his head silently.
"Shall we go to my house?" — you suggested it — I baked a pumpkin pie and made mulled wine. You have a cool costume.…Very truth-like.
He finally raised his head:
When he looked you straight in the eye, you were horrified. His skin was deathly pale, and his eyes were unnaturally cloudy. He was cold as a tomb, so you froze in place and wanted to scream. But all you did was cover your mouth with your hands and step back.
Your reaction turned out to be predictable for him, so he didn't move, but just stared down again:
— Well, run away.… Like all the people I met today.…
The next second, you didn't understand: are you terribly afraid of the living dead, or do you feel very sorry for him? And your pity for him overcame your fear.
