There is part of him that does not--at all--trust Guzma.

He knows of the supposed-reformation, of the fact that this is someone his mother would trust with her life -- and yet, he cannot entirely forget the anger, threats, sending of underlings to do so in his place, and so on.

To say he isn't even slightly nervous would be a lie -- but he tries to keep it under control, lest the bugs and beasts residing within and nearby the observatory become nervous as well.

“Yeah?” he asks, glancing the man’s way for a moment before returning his attention to some of the Charjabugs wriggling about in the dirt. “I, um...”

“Your.. admin, Plumeria--” It feels so bizarre to call her that. “--has been very.. kind to us up here.”

He realizes Guzma most likely already knows of at least some of Plumeria’s feelings -- how she regards Sophocles, often treating him like a son -- but he refrains from directly mentioning them at the moment  in the event that he doesn’t.

As he’s well-aware of what ‘falling stars’ are, what they’re made of, how they happen and so on, he wouldn’t see much of a point in wishing on one.

“It’s weird, y’know, ‘cause both Mama Vikavolt and Totem are never slow in racin’ or battles.

They just–”

He chuckles softly.

“Directly, no. But in terms of how Togedemaru have changed over the centuries, possibly!

“Heh-I dunno if I’d call it a nasty side so much as a mischievous one, but yeah, she likes to get into trouble. Luckily for me, it’s usually of the real mild sort.

For a moment, he wonders if it’s not a little juvenile to be excited for a hug, but in the next, he decides he really doesn’t care and gladly allows himself to be lifted. (Plumeria is strong, and he knows that very well, so he doesn’t have even the slightest worry that she might drop him.)

“Sometimes she does. Not super-often, ‘cause she doesn’t seem to like rain on her fur much, but every now an’ then she’ll run out into a storm with lightning jus’ to charge herself up.

I think she does it for fun more than to seriously power herself up, though.
