In one of Vivs interviews she refers to what is assumed to be Alastor as an "anti hero" (https://vm.tiktok.com/ZNRtcqy7n/). If he's the anti-hero (sort of) in the first two season who would be his antagonist? I think Rosie. They're obviously meant to be foils in some way considering she's the one who owned his soul. I mean they literally wear matching outfits. There are parts of them that are clearly meant to be mirrors of eachother. When it comes to Rosie as a character it's debated whether shes actually nice or doing it entirely as an act, however I think there is actually a genuineness when it comes to Rosie's kindness and compassion especially in regards to Charlie. Even though Charlie is clearly a part in her plan (and maybe her family too) she clearly does want to protect her. I think the most damning evidence for this (for me at least) is In hear my hope when Alastor says "you'll WATCH them die unless you do" emphasis on watch.

If he just said they'll die on it it's own without the watch part it sorta implies there's less care and she only needs Charlie and the hotel for her own benefit and only really cares if they die because she loses that benefit, but saying she'll WATCH them die implies that she has some sort of genuine care in a way that whatever she's doing evil or not she doesn't want Charlie or her hotel to be harmed. This is also could be a reason on why he was even sent there in the first place. And again if he's emphasizing that she'll watch them die that sorta implies Charlie genuinely means something to Rosie as it can be an implication that this would be a hard thing for Rosie to watch.

However with Rosie's kindness just because shes nice and may actually be nice it doesn't necessarily mean she doesn't weaponise that kind of hospitality. She's still an overlord after all. My leading theory on why shes an anti-villain and not just a regular evil person of the line "It can be difficult to admit to things you're not proud of, especially if those things hurt the ones you love. She fucked up, sure. She's flawed. But, hey, who down here isn't? If there's anything I've learned, it's that words are cheap, but actions, they speak the truth."

I doubt they'd just throw this line in for no reason other than a way for her to manipulate Charlie. Rosie most likely has actually done something she regrets. She clearly recognises that she's done something wrong if she was doing another thing wrong in her plan I doubt she'd just do because she wants to be evil. She most likely has a reason to do whatever her deal is and it may not be right but Rosie needs it to achieve her goal. Even if that goal is only the right thing in her eyes

In regards to other things relating to Rosie she also meant to be Charlie's surrogate mother in a way. We know Lilith is a main presence in season 3 and will be a massive focus however she will mostly have some sort of thing to deal with Rosie. Now I'm personally not in favor of any "Rosie is x" theories but I will say this she definitely must have a connection to one or maybe all of the people (Eve,Roo,Lilith) that she is often theorised to be. Now back to my main point Rosie will be an anti-villain. What other evidence could suggest this? Well we already know she is meant to be a surgote mother to Charlie in a way so why not compare her to Lilith. With the little information we know about Lilith we know that she embraced sinners and encouraged them to rise up and feel Impowered. Contrast this with Rosie who is owner of the cannibal colony. We also know that Rosie built a comfortable life for the sinners she rule over. Lilith is seemingly pushing for change while Rosie is sticking with the old (as evident that cannibal town is stuck in the 1910s). Rosie wants the sinners to be comfortable with what they have in hell while Lilith is pushing them to step out the comfort zone. Rosie is seen as more traditional an Lilith seems more progressive. Lilith wants hell to progress while Rosie thinks being stuck in her own ways in this sanario would be the right way. It also kind of seen in who they generally are. Lilith is much more revealing dressed and Rosie is more modestly. You could argue that "if Rosie doesn't really want change in hell why would she tell the cannibals to fight with Charlie or even encourage chaldie to be more of a leader" while that implies Rosie wants change I think the aspect of he caring about Charlie is coming more into play here. But I could be wrong and maybe we will see an inversion in season 3 Lilith becomes the one who dozens want change and Rosie now wants the change. To be fairs it's really hard to deduct anything untill we have more information about her.

So could Rosie be redeemed? In theory I think she definitely will! Not in the heaven kind of way but as a character (plus I don't even think she can get up there considering.. What is she like?). But if Rosie does take on the anti-villain role I think the main goal for her in another season will be redeeming her character. And again coming back to that point of her recognizing that she most likley did a bad thing sets her up for redemption if she needs to be redeemed. The only the we do know so far is that the answer on why she's like this way will be answered. However this could all change once it's revealed what Alastor and Rosie's deal actually is about. For all we know she could've said "I give you powers you kill everyone for me" we just don't know.

So who knows I could be wrong!
