Lattice Boltzmann Method is a powerful technique for computational modeling of a wide variety of complex fluid flow problems involving single and multiphase flows over complex geometries. The current work was of interest to our customers who need a tool to simulate flow over standing structures in a city.

Customer was provided the detailed manufacturing drawings and supporting design and analysis documents. Upon successful acceptance, the design was scaled down for 6 tons and 3 ton’s load-carrying A-Frames. The engagement model with Zeus Numerix ensured the design of A-Frame within stipulated time and budget.

Metal pumps corrode especially in the presence of seawater. Zeus Numerix has designed a carbon composite seawater pump that can function with negligible corrosion. This centrifugal pump is more efficient than the corresponding metal pump with a 30HP motor replaced with a 25HP motor. Overall weight reduction is 44% with the pumping element 1/4th the weight. The pump has been tested for 100-hour endurance. The pump can handle seawater, brackish water, sewage, and slurry, chemical, and corrosive fluids.
