Captain of the Zero Squad: Q1

They didn't need to think about much else right now, it was so much nicer here already.

"That is does. Maybe we should look for one for you as well?"

A simple, playful suggestion, and another thought that quickly slipped into her mind to play around with later, much like a cat to a ball of yarn.

She is immediately on the hunt for one in the little display. Giving an exclaming noise when she pulls up a little brown on with a blue bow tied around its neck.

"C.C. look at how perfect this one is!"

A little wiggle in excitement at giving Suzaku a gift as well. She was starting to like being around him a lot more over their time here.

C.C. felt most comfortable around her, while she could connect well with Lelouch, there were things he simply didn't understand or was too oblivious to comprehend. Kallen felt like a sanctuary, a woman who despite her upbringing had a softer soul, both being alike in that sense.

"It's been so long since we could relax like this, I'm beginning to wonder if I could get comfortable here."

As much as the sights and sounds might have been overwhelming, C.C.'s gaze immediately locked upon the display of keychains and stepped over, picking up one of the black cats and showing it to Kallen.

"Awwww, it's adorable!"

Her eyes dart to the side, and a light flush spreads over her cheeks. Realizing that she had equated L.L. to something so cute without even thinking twice about it. C.C. made her so comfortable that she didn't feel the need to guard her emotions around her.

"Yeah, it does look like him."

"We should get it and give it to him."

The display had so many others. A bright green bunny caught her eyes almost instantly.

She was blushing, now. He'd never imagined that the Captain of the Zero Squad was even capable of blushing.

She just seemed so much like a warrior to him, it was also easy to forget that she was also a woman.

"Where...exactly do you want to go?" He asked. "I don't have too much dust on me...but I mean, it's your choice."

"Oh- ugh, not having a lot of dust is okay. I was just thinking about the cute cafe down the street."

She sighs and tries to straighten up a little.

First L.L. asks him to be romantically involved, then he thinks he has a crush on C.C., and now Kallen is asking him on a date?

The world--! The world must be ending--!

He turns immediately red. Arthur, bite him, he must be dreaming! Another pretty girl is asking him on a date?

"I- I do insist."

"I wouldn't have made the request if I didn't want to."

There is a moment of realization that she is still pinning him down before she skitters off of him.

He knew that L.L. was devoted to his followers--he'd risked everything to save Kallen before. But he didn't know exactly how devoted they were back to him.

After all, did the Black Knights not betray him...?

Maybe that could also be what this was about.

"Hmmm...."

Her finger pokes him on the chest before leaning back. Wheels turning in her mind as she decides to be forward about this at the advice of L.L.

He laughed after she kicked at him, and he tried again to catch her leg--the most dangerous part about being an extremity fighter is getting caught, and he damn well knew that part!

He missed grabbing her, and she swept past him, knocking him down as she tried to pin him.

"Maybe not you, but I like proving it to myself. By beating you time and time again, I show myself that I can be just as strong and deserve to be by L.L.'s side."

He blocked the punches on reflex, but the kick locked his knees, and forced him to topple over--again, a good strategy.

The opening gives her a chance to kick at his legs so he doesn't sweep her's out from under her like he did last time. Not falling for that trick again. He'll have to come up with a different strategy to knock her off her feet. That is, before she gets it in her head to try to pin him to the ground to win this time.

Thomas collected the last of the tins, and a pouch he had brought with him of valuable pills. They really were the only things he felt it necessary to keep in the spot. Everything else could be stored on his person. The things he cared about were already in his pockets and remained there.

"Toge Inumaki and Kallen Kozuki. Thomas Samiel. My Serkonan family name."

He moved around her, noting how unhappy she was to be naked in his presence and he sighed through the filter, looking at the hall she was hiding in.

His offer drew her back to the situation.

"Oh- uh- yeah. I'll go get dressed if you don't mind me interrupting the conversation."

It only took a few moments after she disappeared down the hall for the sound of a door clicking shut behind her as she went to her room. She made sure to be hasty so as not keep the other waiting too long. Not to seem impolite. Reappearing at the end of the hall again to see if he still lingered in the kitchen.

Toge nods, deciding it would be a good test food to see if Kallen enjoyed it.

He felt energized by this--like he was finally getting to be able to excerisze after being cramped in a small room.

Perfect!

He stood up, and got back into position, grinning widely and getting into a tackling stance.

"Alright. Get ready. I'm going to pin you this time, so you better give it your all."

He just hoped he didn't go too far, considering their history and all.

He tried to be careful about it all, just in case.

"Best two out of three."

There is a grin on her face. This was a lot of fun for her now that someone was around who was an actual challenge.

Kallen pinned both of his arms above his head, but Suzaku hadn't just been refining his technique--he'd been putting strength into his shoulders as well. He twisted, forcing his shoulders upwards to knock her off.

It was a rare break, but after all, Zero could do anything.

There is a brief moment of her struggling, trying to wriggle free, but Suzaku doesn't relent. Holding firm to her, leaving her panting beneath him.

"Okay- fine. I yield. Get off me-"

Well, when it wasn't some sort of Western island survival show. Ah, he was getting way to in his own head about this.

"Ah- that is so nice of you! I have been mostly picking up konbini meals every time I go out."

He dropped and rolled as her foot swung over his head, and he grabbed onto her calf to yank her down with him.

He could also use the height of a standing person against him, after all! She wasn't the only one who knew how to fight at a disadvantage!

That's what happens when you join the military as a kid, after all!

He laughed at her taunts, and attempted to make the first pin.

She bucks her hips. Squirming and shoving him off of her. Twisting herself and rolling so that their positions are swapped. Grabbing onto Suzaku's wrists to keep him from doing the same thing to her.

"You yield."
