âAs you knowâ. It had been a terribly long time since sheâd last spoken to a Rito. Few traveled to Zoraâs Domain when sheâd been alive, and while her hope for their people had never waned after her death and imprisoning it was only natural that after such a long time she might forget such things. She was glad to hear that, at least, he was in a better situation than herself. A Rito that could not soar could still survive without difficulty. She mourned his loss of freedom, but found hope in the fact that he was not in harmâs way.
ââRevaliâs Galeâ, was it? I was certainly amazed when I first saw it.â Like her Grace, he harbored a power unique to himself, something that had contributed to his selection as a Champion. If he had eventually passed on that ability to Link, she could only wonder how reluctant heâd have been to do so.Â
âI know our situation isnât a practical one, but know I will support you Revali. We may be of different backgrounds, but we are still of Hyruleâs Champions. The fact that I see you a a comrade and friend has not changed despite where we are.â It was a simple offer of assistance for when the times were tough. Her allies in this place were few, so to have reliable friends nearby made her feel somewhat comfortable.
âPerhaps we have no purpose in this realm, but Iâd like to think we do. Calamity Ganon may not exist, but surely with some searching we can find ourselves a place to belong.â At the very least, it was better than being dead.
Itâs impossible to argue, even if heâd like to. The lack of freedom is suffocating, but itâs not really that that bothers him...of course, he has no intentions of spilling such things to the Zora. That...yes, thatâs on a need-to-know basis. Itâs nothing that concerns her or any of the other champions. Or anyone for that matter. The frown that tugs at his beak is hastily gone the moment he hears her praise, feathers ruffling in pride.
âOh, but of course. Itâs only natural to think so.â Any opportunity to boast is welcome, although it is noticeably toned down from his usual pompous declarations. After all, he canât compare her to others â sheâs just as talented, which is something even he canât deny. Their specialties are simply far different, thatâs all.
The Rito takes a moment to take in her words, wings folding over chest, eyes slowly falling downward to the blue that decorates his person before dragging them back up. âHrm....youâre not wrong. This may be far from the ideal, but if itâs you or the rest, then I canât say I have much of a complaint. Itâs not as if I have much else to occupy my time with, so I suppose you could count me as an ally once more...for the time being.âÂ
The dismissive tone is there, but itâs hardly genuine. Sheâs right, of course, as much as he loathes to admit it. He still turns his head, to keep up his air of aloofness.
âWhile I doubt this place would hold much of a purpose for one such as myself, I suppose we have little options in that regard.â Nowhere to return to, all they could do was look forward. Honestly, that sounded like something that guy would bring to the table, if he ever spoke that much. âBut before belonging, I believe we should find solutions to our predicaments first?â
