there is something so crazy and powerful about having art of your oc that was made by anyone other than yourself. like oh my god you actually exist outside of my own brain that's WILD

I don't need someone to match my freak; I need someone to complement my freak. Accentuate and accent my freak. Plus, we gotta diversify our freak portfolio here -- combine our efforts to cover the greatest amount of freakage instead of seeking freak redundancy.

I mean, "match my freak" could be claimed to rise to your demonstrated freak level, to accentuate, to accent your freak - that their and your freak goes well together, not necessarily that your freaks are the same.
