I decided to make aventurine a rain / sand wing hybrid

I chose rain wing for him because I felt that the bright colors and color changing scales would be fitting for a character like aventurine

And I chose sand wing because aventurine is from a desert planet, so a lot of the desert adaptations sandwings have would be fitting

Not only that, but in the wings of fire universe, other tribes sometimes stereotype sandwings as sly, underhanded, or as “sneaky outlaws”

Which is similar to the way avgins are stereotyped in the HSR universe as well

Now getting into his lore.

Aventurine (the dragon) still lost his family at a young age, and grew up mostly in the scorpion den. He was outcasted due to his oddity, and often treated poorly Even as a mere young dragonet simply trying to survive on his own

He was often underestimated due to his lack of a venomous tail, however he quickly learned to use his other abilities to his advantage and to aid in his survival

For example, he learned to control his color changing scales, using his luck combined with this to aid in bluffing and social performance, and using his other abilities such as camoflauge and rainwing venom when necessary

His skills at gambling and performance led to him becoming somewhat well known (and not particularly liked) in the scorpion den, and he was labeled as a cheater and treated even more poorly by those who saw him as a liar, trickster, manipulator, etc

However, his reputation led to him being found and recruited by madame Jade, who then took him in and this is how he became affiliated with the intercontinental peace corporation (or the IPC), which was a fairly well known group of dragons on Pyrrhia, and eventually led to him becoming one of the ten stonehearts

And this is where aventurine still is today, using his abilities to aid in the goals of the IPC He is very flamboyant and flashy, using his color-changing scales and lots of jewelry to make himself even flashier and stand out

he often spends his time gambling, with the other stonehearts, Or with his strategic partner, Doctor Ratio

Anyways, this au is not super fleshed out yet, but I have some more ideas I will probably draw and post
