the girl wasnāt sure what brought her to the carnival. especially considering where she was, it wasnāt the smartest idea for her to be mingling in a large group of people. but the atmosphere called her. maybe she just yearned for something a little whimsical. someplace where you could lose yourself. her thick dreads were pulled up into a bun it had frankly taken what she thought was too much effort, but zee enjoyed the outcome. the bandanna she had wrapped around as a headband added to the ever growing fondness. back in the day, she never wore her hair natural or in any sort of braid. her mother used to straighten her hair until her poor curls were screaming for mercy. this felt right. she felt like herself. as she continued around the carnvial ground, her heart seemingly stopped when her eyes landed on a familiar figure.Ā āviolet....ā words so soft, she had wondered if she even said them. zee tried to duck behind a food stand, but in classic zee fashion, managed to twist her ankle around the supporting bar, an act that sent her tumbling to the ground.Ā āfor fucks sake!ā hands going to the scraped skin.
