the headcanon that ruined me
the ninth doctor had a northern accent, presumably because he wanted to change everything about himself after the time war
before regenerating, the last person he saw was Rose, who had a London accent
the tenth doctor had a London accent
probably a casting coincidence. BUT the last person Ten saw was Rose (again)
Eleven had that same London accent
well, maybe they just prefer actors with a London accent. BUT the last person Eleven saw was Amy (yes he glanced back at Clara but it was very brief)
And guess what freaking accent Twelve has.
