There it was again. It seemed, without her noticing, he always kept an eye out for her so that he could rush in to save her whenever needed. It was surprisingly not suffocating. She liked the way he took care of her and Shin, even if the latter was against it most of the time.
âReally?â The girl perked up at his reply, a bright smile lighting up her features. She didnât expect him to accept, thus incredibly surprised to the point she wasnât really thinking much of how flustered she should feel. âThank you! Then Iâll have to do my best to make sure it tastes good!â She had both hands clasped together excitedly, a few seconds passing before she had them in front of her lips and head tilted.
âIs there anything in particular youâd like?â
With the girl so excited about him accepting her offer, Toma no longer felt his previous lethargy. He couldnât help but give a small laugh when she smiled; it was like he had done something much more grandiose than saying heâd go to her house. He suppressed the small hope she had been treating this as something other than what he had come to expect-- the younger sister inviting over the older brother.
âI should be the one thanking you. Itâs been a while since Iâve come over, huh?â He stops to think for a few more moments at her question. âHm... Not really. Whateverâs easiest for you.â
