I HATE when you say you don't (romantically) like someone, and the person is like "Ok ;)" and they clearly don't believe you. Like they think its cute or something. I got shipped with a friend of mine throughout middle and high school, and it was so frustrating. We couldn't do anything together without people thinking we were secretly a couple. Please don't ship irl people, its weird and intrusive. I'm rose repulsed so I'm incredibly uncomfortable with it.

shout out to repulsed aces and aros who have no safe spaces in fandom because it's just everywhere you turn and it's in all the fanarts and all the fanfics and all the posts except for like ... 5% TOPS.

I think people who consider aromanticism as "basically straight" underestimate how noticeable absence can be to those around you.
