Adam Castillejo, the "London Patient", is free of the virus more than 30 months after stopping treatment.
A man from London has become the second person in the world to be cured of HIV, doctors say.
Adam Castillejo is still free of the virus more than 30 months after stopping anti-retroviral therapy.
He was not cured by the HIV drugs, however, but by a stem-cell treatment he received for a cancer he also had.

ā How to improve your knowledge in languages ā
1 Donāt translate the new words, just use a dictionary, such as you do in your native language.
2 Rewatch movies - because now you can understand the movie, even if you donāt know exactly what are they saying
3 Read Wikipediaā¢
4 Talk alone
5 Learn your favorite songs and write their lyrics in a paper
6 Read a book or whatever
7 Watch recipes videos to learn food vocabulary
8 Force yourself to consume content even if is boring because you canāt understand what is happening
9 When youāre consuming some content, have an open tab with Google Translator - this makes the movie/book/video more dynamic and less boring
10 Tandem is a free app which allows you to practice your target languages with natives and this is awesome.
In Bengali we donāt say āsquirrelā we say āą¦ą¦¾ą¦ ą¦¬ą¦æą¦”ą¦¼ą¦¾ą¦² (kÄį¹habiį¹Äla)ā which translates to āwood catā and I think thatās just damn cute.

App Highlight ⨠Grammatisch
As per usual, I keep digging through the app store in the hunt for awesome language apps. Today I bring you this grammar app for German.
It has the "basics" of German grammar according to level, it includes explanations and exercises.
I have no idea whether this is available for iOS, so let me know.
Hi Dr Rita How do you catch the virus??? If someone has it can they pass it on by touch??
From what we know so far, the coronavirus seems to spread like other respiratory illnesses. Thatās through:
1. Someone coughing and you breathing in the particles into your lungs, or
2. Those particles being on a surface (for example someone coughing into their hand and then touching a door handle), and then you touching those particles and transferring them to your mouth.Ā
An analysis in the NEJM found that the virus can remain in the air for up to 3 hours, on copper for up to 4 hours, on cardboard up to 24 hours, and on plastic and stainless steel up to 72 hours.
Thatās why the following strategies are so important:Ā
Wash your hands regularly for 20 secondsāthe WHO recommends 6-9 times a dayāand especially after going out, and before eating.Ā
Try to limit touching your mouth or face.Ā
If you cough, cough into your elbow (instead of your hand) or a tissue. Chuck tissues away.
Clean surfaces regularly.Ā
If you have symptoms, follow self-isolation advice.Ā
Iād also generally avoid touching and kissing others, especially on the face, and especially if you donāt live together. If you do live together, thenāunless youāre all self-isolating in your roomsāitās likely most household contacts will get infected.Ā Ā
If you think a surface may be infected, clean it with simple disinfectant to kill the virus and protect yourself and others. Clean your hands with an alcohol-based hand rub or wash them with soap and water. Avoid touching your eyes, mouth, or nose.Ā
I would recommend regularly cleaning down surfaces that you touchāsuch as door handles. Itās generally advisable to wash fruit & veg before eating!Ā

ALWAYS REBLOG WHEN YOU SEE SOMETHING LIKE THIS PLEASE; ITS SO MUCH MORE THAN IMPORTANT TO PEOPLE. IT MEANS EVERYTHING TO SOMEBODY AND EVEN THOUGH YOU MIGHT NOT SEE THIS IN THE SAME LIGHT, SOMEONE MIGHT. INFACT YOU REBLOGGING THIS COULD STOP SOMEONE TAKING THEIR LIFE TONIGHT.
sexual orientation: polyglot
Two reasons why I really want to learn multiple languages
1. So I can talk about/cuss people out without getting fired
2. So if people I donāt know approach me I can act like I donāt speak the language.
Writing in another language that isnāt your native one is all fine and dandy until you have to actually speak in that language and suddenly your brain runs on Windows vista
āno matter how fluent
you are in a language,
understanding a toddler
speaking it will always
be a mystery.ā
