Spyronite

Started off June with Noah Bradley's art challenge "JuneStudyJam". It was a challenge to get us all to build up the habit of drawing daily. This is the first batch of drawings I did of the model Bridgett, which the reference I was able to get from New Masters Academy. Coincidentally, I was watching Steve Huston's intermediate class on drawing the face, so it seemed right to take up the challenge of drawing more faces, especially in angles that I would otherwise avoid.

Back to basics. I was quite surprised by how studying the skeletal structure aided me in knowing when my proportions were off or not. It’s definitely helped me in figuring out the different facial features present in the variety of people I’ve come across, whether it be in person or in reference material.
