went to an Italian restaurant with the wife. She has a fresh fade. Her hair feels soooo tingly and amazing and I can touch it whenever I want. It’s the weekend. We are going dancing tomorrow. Lots to be thankful for

just finished ancillary justice which I thought was overall Just Fine. It felt like there were a lot of interesting ideas but the execution was lacking. The main character being an AI didn’t really give any interesting commentary other than the usual ‘what if a computer had feelings and a concept of Self? 🤔’ which I feel is overdone… the discussion about the author defaulting to ‘she’ pronouns to create a seemingly gender neutral society was also… not explored at all. Directly in opposition to the left hand of darkness which I feel definitely inspired this idea. The concept of human soldiers puppeteered by a computer was super creepy though A+ on that one but AGAIN we didn’t get much past that except a few characters saying ‘that sure is creepy. anyways’

also while my wife recovers we have been debating starting killing eve. the issue is I know how it ends and im mad about it but I know nothing else about the show… hmm idk

three years ago today my wife and I packed up our car and our cats and drove almost 3,000 miles across the country. we now live in a much better place for us, with great weather, and excellent healthcare for my wife who has a rare disease. it was difficult and expensive but we did it and we are so much happier for it. im so glad we took that risk and i hope we can stay many many long and happy years together where we are now ❤️
