i had hawkquill on the brain yesterday so here's a copypasted rant i made about them in marvel rivals that i inflicted upon my partner (ily jette, ty for putting up with me :3) so based on what little i know about them, their personalities are pretty similar; they’re both cocky and brazen, prone to making jokes and puffing themselves up a bit (clint less so on the cockiness)

but it’s a coping mechanism for them both

clint does it to ignore the voices in his head of the people he’s lost, the voices that tell him that he’s not good enough and never will be

peter is much of the same

they’re both fairly average, especially compared to the powerhouses they make their company

but while peter leads said powerhouses as the leader of the guardians, clint is often regarded as the least important of the avengers, the weak link that can be terminated at any time

while he and peter both hold their respective teams together just as well as the other

because clint is a grounding force in his supposed mediocrity, he’s down-to-earth in a way some of the other avengers aren’t, because he’s the most physically human of them

he reminds them that there are limits, lines that can’t be crossed

while peter is an often annoying outgoing guy, he’s a more obvious catalyst for change and improvement; it’s his responsibility to keep his team together

but anyway yeah they’re very similar i think

as for how i think they’d meet, within the marvel rivals universe specifically

i think they’d meet by way of just a meeting between the avengers and the guardians, due to the looming threat of both of the doctor dooms threatening to tear the universes apart

so both teams meet to discuss the issue

and from the moment they meet, it’s clear that peter and clint get along naturally, bouncing quips off each other like they’ve been friends for ages

and in a way, there are aspects of each other that they see in themselves

which reinforces both comfort

and distance they meet up a few times on their own, at the practice range or something, and they boast about their respective aim and banter back and forth about their teams and the catastrophic situation they and everyone else are in

but they watch each other.

subtly so, but they do

there’s something both nice and unsettling regarding how much they see in each other

but while peter tries to use it to establish bare minimum a friendship with a man he deems attractive (both physically and emotionally, almost like a magnetic pull), clint gets scared and keeps his distance

because he doesn’t want to mess things up

he’s too used to that

and he doesn’t want it to happen again

because he does care for peter, as much as he wants to deny that

anyway that’s all i have right now, a lot of this is just speculation as to what they’d be like interacting

bc they haven’t even canonically interacted in rivals. they don’t even have a line together

Last post of the year and figured I’d finish it the way I started it: Marvel Rivals character concepts BUT with a twist. This time, using my favourite character from the game Dispatch: Phenomaman.

Idk I just thought this would be fun to do, as it’s pretty much never going to happen for him to be in the game. But we love a fun hypothetical.
