Mega Trainer

The Professor laughed, and clapped his hands, “Fantastic! Now everyone is here! And just as well, since I have three Pokemon to give away today!”

He reached behind him to his desk, and grabbed a briefcase. He gently raised it up, and opened the lid to reveal three Pokeballs, in soft, cushioned indentations, “Sorry I can’t give you a Kalos Starter, because I need to save those for Starting Trainers, but it’d be fantastic if you took one of these Pokemon with you! Here! Pick one!” 

Zaffre automatically raised his hand, but then grinned and took a step back, “I’ll let’cha pick yers first, Midori!”

Still, not being one to sweat the small stuff, she shrugged, and started after the Pokemon Professor. 

“Many thanks for coming all this way!” The Professor replied with a friendly nod, “And yes! I have indeed been waiting for you!” A wild, bright smile crossed his face, and he raised his hands in the air, “Your family has done a lot for Kalos! Between Team Flare and the fiasco with Nexus, I personally, couldn’t wait to meet the newest Yawa to Pokemon Training!” He laughed, “To be honest, I knew you had a new brother, but from what I heard he is the twin brother of your eldest brother?” He looked at Zaffre, “I had no idea you had a younger brother as well! It’s a good thing I’ve come prepared for this!”

Zaffre took a step back at that, and huffed. He still had no idea about this ‘Nexus’ junk... but he fully remembered the stuff against Team Flare, “I uh... was with Mom and Yevie. I moved here recently.” A crappy lie, but whatever.

He came to a stop beside Midori, and looked around the Professor’s office. Man... this place looked like it hadn’t changed a bit in nine years! 

Zaffre looked up just in time to see a familiar, yet older, face approach them. Now that was something different! It always caught Zaffre off-guard when he met someone that he used to know. Everyone had aged so much while he was ‘gone’ that most of the time he didn’t even recognize them! The man that approached them though, seemed to be an exception! 

Professor Sycamore, though older, and with a few more grey hairs, looked virtually the same as he last saw him!

“Fantastic!” The Professor greeted them, “You’re here! Come this way, won’t you?” He instantly turned around, and started walking back off, heading down towards the far end of his lab. 

Zaffre took a quick look at Midori, then started after the Professor, “Uh... you’ve been waiting for us? Er, her. My sister I mean?” 

Midori gasped, and reached forward to clamp her hands around her brother’s mouth as he started to reply, “This is just my little brother!” She squeaked, “He wants to start his Pokemon Journey too! Our parents let him come along, as long as I watched him! Haha…ha!”

He glared at her, as she pulled him into the elevator, and the moment the doors closed behind them, he pulled her hand off his mouth, “What’cha do that for?” He huffed, “And what’cha mean by ‘little’ brother!?”

The ‘blob’ didn’’t respond, and just sort of rolled over. It looked like it was evaluating the stranger for any potential danger...
