thinking about how the first three eeveelutions (flareon, jolteon, vaporeon) all have manes like eevee does, but every eeveelution since the trio (leafeon, glaceon, espeon, umbreon, sylveon) is missing their mane! leafeon and sylveon are the closest with leafeon's chest/neck leaves and sylveon's bow, but neither of those is a mane.
Once you stop defining your therianthropy in measures of dysphoria and focus on what brings you fulfillment as an animal, you start caring a lot less about where other people fall on the chosen kintype vs involuntary kintype axis. It opens you up to instead start caring about how people engage with their kintype, and what experiences it brings, which I think are far more valuable.

doing a little study of the beastars manga rn so i can draw fanart in a more similar style to canon. it's not the first time i've done it but i can never get the bodies right. tonight we figure it out!
having trouble feeling a proper connection to my physical body when having phantom shifts lately. i think the recent influx of were-beast vibes has been because of my brain struggling to reconcile the anatomy differences between human physical body and coyote perceived body. my paws and legs cause the most issues. when i'm not looking at myself they take a more feral phantom form but as soon as i look it begins to feel more anthropomorphic, entering the middle state between coyote and human. when drawing myself i've been much more inclined towards a mix between my wereyote and cryptid forms as well. weird feeling for a usually feral yote.
i have a very long post brewing about all of my home-universe book-divergent canon things that i can "recall". too much to be writing out at nearly 3am
for the longest time i never felt as though i had any memories related to my kintypes (especially since i don't consider myself a spiritual alterhuman) but over time i've had a few kind of.. pop up? vivid sensory recollections and first-person memories of places and things i've never experienced or seen.
i've never been able to vividly imagine things like that before, and i've caught myself calling them memories off of instinct more often than i'd like, so i've started to take them as being soul-memories or strange pseudo-memories that my brain is forming. not something i'm particularly against, but on top of my habit of referring to myself as "we" and some other things it does bring up a lot of questions for me.

been drawing Chartreuse a lot lately and playing with new design stuff like light markings. i have a pngtuber for him now and everything. despite the abundance of coyote and werebeast phantom shifts, the jolteon hearttype slowly shifts towards being a kintype
not sure whether i enjoy the feeling of my lower leg shortening and foot lengthening or not but it's interesting. i never get tired of paw shifts though, i've always wanted pawpads.
phantom shifts are pretty new for me, they only started in the past couple of years (conveniently coinciding with me starting to smoke pot), so i really like to pay close attention to them and think about what changes i'm actually feeling. it does really suck to look at my body and not be able to see the parts that i can feel though :(
if all the transgender therians and furries on this website were given a nice stable quality of life and universal basic income to afford groceries and rent we would live in a fucking artistic and cultural Renaissance and im not fucking kidding
