by karmacores!!! still have one last piece of the outfit needed for her, but I think her redesigns come along very, very well. we have moved away from boob focal point to tummy focal point, which I think is more fitting and designed for the leader of a love and fertility cult <3 I wanted her new design to be practical/constructed, as well as reflect her climate/environment more (barren colorless frozen wasteland… she needs to be warm <3)

I want to keep making art about bodies and I want to make more designs that aren’t simply ruled by beauty. I still think about bodies so much. I think about people. I think about artwork. lately… I’ve been trying to take more of a step back from social media, and also have been rolling around in my head about the hierarchy of types of art too, where drawing painting etc etc is seen so often above 3d art, fabric art, jewelry, etc.. and how even that is such a colonial structure where arts by people and specifically women of color are so often erased.. I wanna try more traditional artwork. for so long I was asking myself where do I even go now. but there’s so much to explore… so much people don’t even think abt as art…

i think it’s so important to make art about bodies too.. especially these days. where there is so much hostility and hate and dehumanization, invisibility, for having a fat body or a black body or a queer body or a disabled body or an old body etc etc. im just rambling but that’s what posts are for and it’s important in my own artwork that I want to draw different people. And connect with different people. It’s so important to me to depict these things and also without it being.. shallow. Without actually wanting to engage with culture and people.
