We know we are announcing it a tad early, but the earlier the better! We wanted to give notice to people in advance, so they're not worrying.

Harry Potter x Ron Weasley

They sat in the Burrow's garden, dawn breaking over the horizon. Everyone else was inside, grieving, sleeping, trying to comprehend that it was finally over.

Ron's shoulder pressed against Harry's. Neither spoke.

"All those years," Harry finally said, voice rough. "You stayed."

"'Course I did." Ron's hand found his, calloused fingers threading together. "Even when I left, I came back. Always would've."

Harry turned, seeing his best friend—his constant—in new light. Ron's ears reddened, but he didn't look away.

"Yeah?"

"Yeah."

HELLO HELLO HELLOOOOO!! Your humble, ron-serving, chudley loyalists, fest hosts are so excited to bring back Hot Ron fest for the year of 2026 with newer prompts for you Ron-thirsty souls. Fest hosts are: Purple_Damianya (AO3)/daehyunsbabyelf (tumblr) and Wallenby (AO3)/grossinnit (tumblr).

Rules:

Participants can choose to submit a fic, artwork, mood board, comics, or any combination of them if you are just that talented! 

The work must be based on one prompt from the prompt list, but multiple prompts can be used in the same work if inspiration strikes. The prompts are pretty broad to encourage creativity. 

All works must specify the prompt(s) used. If you’re unsure as to which prompt(s) your idea falls under, feel free to DM and ask us! We want to encourage all with an idea to participate!

There is no claiming period so feel free to peruse the prompt list and let your imagination roam. 

Smut is encouraged, it is Hot Ron after all, but not necessary.

It goes without saying, but absolutely no Ron bashing. Our King is the main character in the works, whether by himself or as part of a ship/triad/polyship. 

The work must be an original, never before published work. It may be a continuation or inspired by other works, but must be able to be a stand-alone work.

Fics must be tagged appropriately according to AO3 guidelines, including but not limited to any kinks, trigger warnings, and major character deaths. If submitting by Tumblr, Tumblr posts must include the same tags and warnings before the post. 

Absolutely no Dead Dove topics. Some examples include: non-consent, incest, necrophilia, age gap with underage character, bestiality, and pedophilia. If you are uncertain what constitutes a Dead Dove topic, please contact the hosts on Discord or Tumblr. 

This is not an anonymous fest. You must have an AO3 account or a Tumblr account to participate.

For authors who are submitting works, the minimum word count is 500 words. There is no maximum.

Do not cross-post or promote your story anywhere until after the stories are revealed.

Submissions can be made to the AO3 collection linked here and/or Tumblr by the deadline.

This is a Ron-centric fest, so the participants should ensure their works are focused upon him. 

We will be revealing the works on both AO3 and Tumblr regardless of where you submit. If you submit on AO3, a link to the work will be posted on Tumblr.

-his breathing when sleeping is calm and rhythmic (harry said he was able to sleep bc of it lol. i think in ootp but not sure)

-he called out a portrait (i think) saying he had freckles and not some other thing. he’s so cute i wanna cry

-HES SO TALL AND LANKY AND HAS BLUE EYES AND BRIGHT HAIR AND FAIR EYELASHES. I HAVE A CRUSH ON HIM (adult-ron, pls, don’t misunderstand me)

-ron’s pyjamas are always a tiny bit too short on him

-ron threw a crocodile heart at draco

-ron punched draco in the battle of hogwarts (that being draco’s last appearance until the epilogue)

-ron looking at hermione in hbp even if they were mad. and wanting to talk to her after christmas (and other few times) with no luck :(

-ron spying on hermione and asking people from other houses about her to find out what she was up to during 3rd year when they weren’t speaking to each other

-ron said that bill always understood him and i love that bc considering his relationship with his other siblings this warms my heart

-ron literally seeing the bright side of things and being always happy for his friends, encouraging them.
