Gazing Stars in the game generally expressed his doubts about who they were even trying to solve the Big Problem for. The ancients ascended a long time ago, after all. So I thought, why doesn't he start collecting information about the Ancients? Save their history for the next civilization so that they don't repeat the mistakes of the past... Also, if these two were in the game, then Heather would have a karma loss mechanic. And while collecting echoes/pearls, she would have seen hallucinations with the Ancients, because this crest on her back is not just wool, but highly sensitive antennae.
