“what--- what---- is that thing ??” eyes were wide as quarters as she stared at the creature. why was she so shocked by this ?? kira had the spirit of the fox inside her; which could basically kill someone, and she was amazed by this ??

“wait----- what are you talking about, isaac ??”

“oh my gosh,” kira laughed, he was quite a character. it was really interesting to watch. kira liked him. “you’re very sweet.” lips curved down a tad, “last i checked--- i’ve---- been away for quite a time. i hope so---- or else i’m going to be alone forever...” feeling her heart sink a little bit at a time. “okay---- okay----” laughing softly, “if we do this--- i need evidence. here---” pulling out her phone with a laugh, “tell the camera what we’re doing here. or more accurately, what you’re doing so SOBER YOU knows.” holding it up so both were in the shot. 

kira took his hand, squeezing lightly every few moments. they were close to the basement door; it wasn’t much of a walk. still holding his hand as the other opened the door to the basement. darkness overwhelmed her, “crap---- i bet the light isn’t working.” lips turning down. “here---” pulling her hand back to grab her cell. “we’ll use my flashlight to guide us.” grabbing at his hand again, “come on !!” slowly she led him down the creaking stairs praying she wouldn’t fall. “do you see a grey box ??”

“oh god---- okay---” taking some deep breaths. “follow me, okay ??” trying not to worry too much. inside was an electricity kira was still trying to FIGURE OUT. “i’m going to try to fix this----- we have to go to the BASEMENT--- don’t be afraid !!”

pulling away, kira gave him a shocked look, “if you’re gay ?? wh-why are you kissing me ?? m-me ?? of all the p-people in the world ??” somehow this made her feel a little less awkward as a human. “----i’m sorry, i shouldn’t have---- we should find you a HOT GUY to kiss. an-and not me, i feel like i’m cheating. even though--- scott’s probably--- MOVED ON.”

what was happening ?? kira was becoming more IMPULSIVE; even the training with the skinwalkers was starting to DWINDLE AWAY. usually the kitsune was SHY & INTROVERTED. only her friends could bring out the TRUE KIRA. now, with alcohol dancing through her veins, kira felt wild & free. somehow the girl ended up KISSING a random guy. her impulsive ways made her SHRUG IT OFF. scott was of the past, maybe relationships were of the past as well. kira decided kissing someone was the least of her problems. so she kept her lips pressed to his. 

“i----” kira said, startled by the sudden movement of the other. though, she didn’t flinch when he mentioned being scared. darkness was a scary thing. everything was uncertain, unknown. kira understood. “it’s okay---- i promise nothing will happen. sometimes the lights flicker--- you’re okay !!” hugging him back gently. 

“i never said i was GREAT with the ideas ?? do you have a better plan ?? we could go in all NINJA SURPRISE ??” giving him a skeptical look, “you do know we’re both BUBBLING IDIOTS !! we can barely stand straight on our own ?? we’re going to screw up this plan if we don’t take DANCING LESSONS. we have to isaac---- we need to get COORDINATED !!”

“is the facial hair because of your werewolfness ?? or are you in a play on BROADWAY ??”

“you’re in NEW YORK CITY---- city of dreams--- and great PIZZA !!”

“i wish it weren’t so morbid, isaac.” lips tugging into a frown as she spoke. “has new york been any easier on the pack ?? or are there still people trying to kill teenagers ??”

“i try to be funny--- but everyone just laughs when i trip ON AIR !!” 

“i-isaac !!” softly speaking his name, “you don’t deserve to be a punching back !!” eyebrows ruffled, slamming into each other. something about the way he was talking bothered her. it wasn’t right at all. “no--no-- i don’t want to do that to you !!” suddenly feeling so terrible. isaac didn’t deserve her grief, it was all her own. only she needed was to keep it together. yet here she was, not keeping it together at all. kira never really knew how to act anyways. “i haven’t exactly been in beacon hills--- i mean, i was in beacon hills until i went to--- tame my fox. alone with some skinwalkers--- it was--- it was character building.” clearly not enough to give kira an ego. or an overload of confidence. “i’m scared, isaac. i was working so damn hard to keep this fox tamed--- i’m not ready !!” 

“okay--- okay, we can get half cheese, half pepperoni ?? maybe you’ll like both ?? or one of them ??” eyebrows rising as she smiled over at her new friend. the other pointed to a picture with one slice on it and kira nodded. “yes, you’re looking at a beautiful slice of pizza !!” giving the other an encouraging smile. “you are going to love it !!” scooting up to give their order to the man behind the counter. kira ushered the other girl to follow her in order for them to wait. in the meantime, kira smiled, “we’re going to wait, won’t be too long !! would you like to pick somewhere to sit ??” though it was small, there were still a couple places to sit. 

“oh---- i’m sorry.” heart slowly sank into her stomach. was no one excited to see her? kira’s spirit was crushed. “that’s okay--- i’m sure he has better things to do. chewing on her lower lip, feeling slightly awkward now. “so, how are you ??” wanting to change the subject to avoid feeling more hurt.
