Idc idc idc idc idc, SHINee should have disbanded after Jonghyun’s death. There is absolutely no point in them staying together because the group’s entire persona is based around their 5 linking personalities. They were together almost 10 years and it’s only been 3~ months since Jonghyun died and no one even talks about it anymore. He got a few brief mentions at the Tokyo Dome and *poof* the members continue concerts, hosting, and talk shows like nothing happened. It’s like he never existed. The members should have halted promotions indefinitely and maybe came back next year, but for them to hold the Japanese concert as scheduled a mere 2 months after his death is highly telling of their respect for Jonghyun. And I am holding the members accountable, not just management. I have been side eyeing these four after his passing and posted nothing to see how this would play out, but nothing about this makes me feel comfortable. I don’t care what you say, no one grieves in the spotlight, especially after losing a close friend and workmate of a decade. Besides, Jonghyun was the vocal strength of the group. As a group, they will never release another hit because they’ve lost their sound and stability. They also have the blanket of his death on their careers. SHINee as a whole was slowly fading— producers stopped giving them hits, they stopped topping charts. I love them as much as you all but we have to face two clear facts: the members were not as close as we thought and it’s time for SHINee to disband. This is not only to preserve the memory of Jonghyun but to also give this group a proper send off in our hearts before Onew leaves for the military and Taemin/Minho obviously leave the group to go solo. Argue with yourselves.
