In the few brief moments that she wasn’t looking at his lips she was that he was looking at hers, a look that tinged her cheeks pink. She bit her bottom lip, hoping that he would kiss her. She could feel the warmth of his hand against her waist, sending a small shiver down her spine, her hand absently tracing small circles on his back, she hadn’t even noticed she was doing it. “Sci-Fi movies,” she said not questioning in a small whisper, her voice trailing off.

Sin straitened up when she felt someone sit down beside her, “yeah fine,” she lied as she tried to wipe her tears away, but they were only replaced by new ones, “so what are you doing here?” Trying to avoid the questions that arise when you find someone weeping in the library, “I wouldn’t think the infamous Cornelius Brown would be in the library that often,” she hoped her lies would pass.

Cornelius could tell that she wasn’t “fine,” but asking her what was wrong didn’t seem like the right question at the time. Instead, the Hufflepuff decided just to smile at her. He moved from his crouched position to sitting on the floor, leaning back against the large wooden shelf. “I came looking for the Monster Book of Monsters. It’s my favorite book in this dusty place,” he replied. “What about you? This doesn’t seem like the right place to have a cry. They usually like you to be quiet in here,” he said with a playful wink.

"No this isn't really the normal hang out for weeping teenage girls is it?" She said with a laugh, "I'm here because I got a letter from my parents and the letter made me cry, and no, no one died." He seemed nice and even she knew he was funny, "you're not going to make the book eat something are you?" She said smiling through the few tears left.
