Dean reaches for Castiel's arm, tugging it towards him. The dress shirt is nice, costing more than Dean would ever consider spending on just a whole suit, let alone a singular shirt. He slides the cufflink through the dedicated hole. These Dean did spend a little extra on for Castiel as a gift. They're reef knot cufflinks which makes Dean smile, a little nod to Castiel's profession.

He motions for the other arm and repeats the motion, rubbing a thumb over the inside of Castiel's wrists, just because he can.

“There you go,” Dean says with a smile.

“Thank you, I could have done it myself.” Castiel leans forward and presses a kiss to the side of Dean's head.

'I'm not upset, I'm just...I never thought...' (tears overwhelm him again. Cas shushes him and hugs him close and kisses his forehead) 'I love you, man.'

'I love you too'

'Oh yeah? Well how come you're not crying about it then?'

'I could cry'

(Dean, his voice still wobbly with crying)'Prove it'

(Cas, who's been hanging on by a thread since Dean said I love you, his voice breaking) 'I love you' (tears spill over)

'That's- hic -that's more like it'

Dean saving Cas from the Empty, and not bringing up the confession right away, worried that it’s too much, with everything Cas has been through.

Cas has had a very long, very hard day. And when he comes home, Dean gives him everything he needs to feel whole again.

Here is my fifth entry for Restraintstiel Week, a short story based off The Green Ribbon by Alvin Schwartz

Summary:

Once there was an Angel named Castiel. He was like any other Angel in the beginning, except for one thing. He started to wear a blue tie around his neck.  

Pure.  Always pure, always clean.  He who has clean hands and heart. Never touched.  Innocent. Innocent, undefiled, separated from sinners and exalted above the heavens.

He must remain pure.  You must remain pure, Castiel.  His body trembles beneath deft fingers, light touches, and he is drowning.  It was never supposed to feel so good, to be touched in this way.  He was supposed to hate it and everything about it.  He draws in a harsh breath and fills his lungs, breaks free from his boggy nightmares, and lets himself feel this.

But where has his morality gone, if he is allowed to feel this?  This pleasure; this thing; this burning, sinful treachery that he cannot bring himself to stop.  Bruises blossom on his hips and thighs; welts from teeth and lingering kisses begin to form against his skin.

To the pure, all things are pure; but to those who are defiled and unbelieving, nothing is pure, but both their mind and their conscience are defiled.

And he moans, because he is dirty; he is not pure.  He never was pure to begin with, if it means he cannot have this feeling ever again. This warmth; this wonderful push and pull that he feels when his body presses close to his lover’s.  The rush he gets and the wonderful, pitiful moan he releases when he feels Dean’s head dip between his legs again to worship him like he is the Holy one.

What blasphemy.

He will never be the same after this.  As he lets go to the sensations, he knows that he is ruined. He is destroyed.

And he loves it.
