eating swords

i had fallen in love with the heavypaint app and was doing a painting every day. over 30 paintings were in my files, some made me so proud and i found myself scrolling through them all the time smiling looking at the progress and now theyre all gone. my app was bugging and wouldnt paint anything and i thought they were safe in files so i reinstalled and well no they werent. i am trying to tell myself that maybe its for the best because i should learn not to be too precious with my art but man it is actually... so painful. genuinely. and that seems funny to type but i actually just started crying when i realized they were gone forever :( i have not been this upset in so long i really loved the work i made and i spent so much time on it, ugh.
