âMom is upset and now everyone is upsetâ
I have thought a whole lot on this specific topic. My own mother employed this energy. My aunts did it. My paternal grandmother.
Luckily my Maternal Grandmother has pretty strong autism and just confronts you if she is upset. Her special interest is Jesus. She reads 2-3 books a day and I believe is now 94 years old. I try to follow her example with this, I donât want everyone in the house to be upset just because I am.
My theory is that because we donât teach children in general how to cope with their emotions and how to appropriately channel them, we get spillover in some pretty shocking ways.
My experience being raised a âgood little Christian girlâ is that the women I was around did not deal with their problems with others. âJust get along!â âDo you Really Want to make a big deal about this?â âWhy are you being so dramatic?â âStop being sensitiveâ
This kind of environment creates the perfect opportunity for âlittle girlsâ to learn that they donât have problems that are real and serious.
Itâs one of the reasons I feel hostile to those environments. Especially when these young brains are soaking in these lessons.
Donât be a problem. Donât make waves. Donât be the drama. Like can we stop this nonsense?
Women kill themselves everyday because they feel like they are wrong for being the way they are. They feel alone and silenced by the world around them. I know WHY. But Why are we still doing this? Especially when we have so much science about the human condition.
So by the time a âlittle girlâ gets old enough to be a mom or whatever, they already have potentially decades worth of misery and pressure and pain just BOTTLED THE FUCK UP inside them. Pressurized.
Their bad energy will seep into every being it comes into contact with if you arenât prepared for it or cannot leave the premises.
I donât think they are always trying to make others miserable too. Sometimes yes. And it feels different.
I want to say the ârational thing to doâ is approach them and ask them âwhen you were little did your (mother figure) ever come into the house with a bad mood and make you feel bad in the process?â I want to say it is the âreasonable wayâ to approach this. However I have found that what I see as reasonable and rational human behavior has gotten a lot of opinions from others.
Idk maybe itâs my own autism saying âthis doesnât make sense. I am not a small child with no coping skills or tools. I will not participate in this behavior and I will not accept that energy delivered to meâ
Idk. I think the moral of my statement is be kind to kids, treat them like people. They tend to grow up into adults. All that baggage they have from childhood tends to be carried into adulthood. What are we trying for here with the type of baggage they will carry.
The moral is also, women- why do we need to hold E v e r y t h i n g. We canât. We shouldnât. We need to lay our weapons down and we need to look at how we handle our emotions. How we feel impacts how others do.
Imagine if mom walked in the house with peaceful and happy energy. Would that change the household? I know it would have changed mine.
