Oh boy I’ve been waiting for someone to ask this.

Okay so, for me my absolute favorite scene is the one where Flik and Atta are by the bird’s nest and he just straight up puts Atta’s life over his at all times. The way he took her hands and pulled her out of the raindrop, the way he immediately drags her over to behind the rock, the way he BEGGED her to stay down so she’d be safe... HE NEVER EVEN LET GO OFF HER HAND DURING THIS SCENE, NOT EVEN ONCE. No matter what was happening he never stopped holding her hand.

AND ALSO, how Atta was so scared of letting him go and/or losing him now that she knows she loves him. Or how she goes to get him once the bird showed up and took him to hide behind the rock with her. AND HOW SHE HIDES BEHIND FLIK WHEN SHE’S SCARED BECAUSE SHE KNOWS HE’LL PROTECT HER.

I just love these two and this scene so much. 🥹 I think it’s the moment where we realize how much they actually love each other and how they’ll keep the other one safe no matter what. I just wish we could’ve seen what happened with them after this scene. 😭
