In this crazy Scandal Fandom that I have grown to love, to the point where the first thing I do in the morning is roll over, grab my phone, and click on my Tumblr app to see what new from my favorite Scandal bloggers, I have come to find that there are a few different varieties of usâŚOlitzers, Terrys, and Olitzer/Terrys. Now the Olitizers believe so deeply in the love of Fitz and Olivia that they hate anyone and anything that come between trying to break them up. And they are as follows (in no particular order) Jake Ballard, B613, Mellie, Rowan/Eli Pope, Cyrus (when he feels the threat of their love is high enough) Edison Davis (cause we all hated him for a hot minute when he was the wedge between Liv and Fitz), and Iâm quite sure if I think a little longer and harder I could think of a few more road blocks. But for the sake of now lets just stick with these example. Olitizers believe that the love Olivia and Fitz have is kismet and heaven sent, and so what if its adultery, true love is true love. So Shonda write the damn Presidential divorce already, put them in Vermont and make the world of Olitiz shippers happy.
Next are the Terrys. Terrys believe that all the hot, steamy, chemistry that we see between Tony Goldwyn and Kerry Washington has spilled off the screen into the actors real lives and that they are indeed really in love. They think that Tony and Kerry are in a relationship and are in love and now have a baby together and that both their marriages are a façade all orchestrated to throw the bloodhounds off their scents and keep their real relationship private. Some think that Kerry is not really married and if she is in fact really married that her marriage is completely staged just to hide the fact that Tony is really the father of her baby and they had to do something to cover up the fact that she is having his baby so she up and married a gay, ex-football player, who doesnât really care for her and is only with her to boost his acting career and keep his sexuality closeted. And Tony is actuality divorced from his wife and is only occasionally seen with her to further sell the story and keep his relationship with Kerry and their baby a secret.
Lastly you have the Olitizers/Terrys. These people are a combination of both mindsets. They love Olivia and Fitz and they love Kerry and Tony together. I think that Iâve explained enough above to not have to go into grave detail of what the combo pack consist of.
Now me, I am a complete and total drop dead, ship till I canât ship no more Olitiz fan. I love everything that they stand for. Do I know adultery is wrong? On every level and my deep spirituality sometimes causes me to feel just a tad bit (almost nonexistent) guilt about the love that I have for these two fools who just canât get it together. I hate Jake Ballard and Mellie Grant as much as the next person because these to road blocks should have been taken care of along time ago. Mellie in the first season with the presidential divorce and Jake should have never come back out that hold Rowan had him in. Call my crazy but I love Poppa Popeâs brand of crazy. Heâs smart and just, for me, his ingenious is something I canât get enough of sometimes. And in my honest opinion, had Olivia not kicked him out of her life she wouldnât be kidnapped and in desperate need of a flatiron (we saw what Momma Pope hair looked like under Rowanâs watchful eye.) But really I digress. I love Olivia and Fitz and believe that they really have found true love in each other and no matter how hard Olivia tries to fight it she knows that their love is incomparable and no one or nothing will ever replace it in her life.  And Fitz is just trying to get her to come to her senses and remind her every chance he gets that he ainât going nowhere is not easily deterred and Vermont will happen and if he has to give up everything to get it. These two lovable fools work over my nerves sometimes but I will never stop loving them.
