Bruce moves to a chair and takes a seat. “I’ve been bored. How have you been?” He crosses his arms and tries to look settled even if he isn’t feeling that way

She sat at the edge of the bed and leaned back on her hands. “Other than a few scratches, I’ve been alright, I guess.”

"Scratches? That's hardly a scratch." He smiles a little bit, but he'd stop pressing her about her cheek. "Alright is better than bad, I like to think."

While the violence in Gotham wasn’t news to Bruce, he still frowns because that sort of thing hits close to home. He nods, frowning slightly, and steps into her motel room. He was feeling a little on edge.

Before closing the door and securing the chain lock in place, she quickly checked the surroundings. Nothing. Good. “So, uh, how have you been?”

He tilts his head at her when she leans against the door frame. “Just because you tell me not to worry doesn’t mean I won’t.” Bruce shrugs back. “But, all right.”

She sighed, her smile disappearing as she glanced at her feet. “There’s a gang that likes to hang out a few streets down, and I, uh, they-…” She made a motion with her hand. “Whatever. Here, c’mon in,” she said, stepping back into the room and holding the door open for him.
