This post is half right but I'm concerned that artists will misconstrue this as permission to just take. Yes, be free to create and explore. BUT when you use references and are inspired by others and trace, trace, trace, the least you can do, as an artist who is not some AI bro, is credit your source. Acknowledge the other human artist you are taking from. Even if they say its okay not to, do it anyway because please let artists have dignity and not just be thieves and selfish. Let them have honor and respect each other. Relying on tools is not cheating. Using references is not cheating but stealing is. If you don't cite your source-if you do not honor the human behind it, you are no better than AI.
